    Retro mode

I saw some vids of the regular mode and they still don't let you see the ball trajectory after the cpu makes contact while pitching. Id imagine you also cant see the trajectory if you use BHP camera in HR derby as well- as this was the case last time I got the game a couple years ago. They only let you see the trajectory when HITTING from BHP camera.

You think in retro mode- seeing how its more arcade, they'll have this in the game??
Like how it is in PYS???

Also- can you do everything in retro mode as far as track stats and such like the regular mode???

Based on the information released there is no stat tracking in Retro Mode. Its just simply a pick up and play mode like the games of yesteryear.

As for your question about ball trajectory, I'm not completely sure what you're asking and I've never played PYS, so I can't comment on that. What I can say is that if you watch Gameplay Stream and the Gamespot video you can see Retro Mode being played and what it will look like.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

      Re: Retro mode

To piggy back off this, do you think Retro Mode fielding camera is a more realistic MLB broadcast camera than the Broadcast setting in The Show?

I like how it is high and directly behind home plate. As opposed to Broadcast setting when it is angled.

Just trying to find a camera that represents watching a real life broadcast

It is all preference but I think Ramone mentioned on the GameSpot video that you can use that batting view in the regular game. So if it is something you like (if I remember correctly) it will be an option even outside of Retro Mode.

          Re: Retro mode

It'd be cool if next year they release Retro Mode as a PSN game prior to the full game being released. Then when the full game comes out, Retro Mode will still be included but have it so you can play your entire Franchise or Season in that mode.

I am sure Sony would not mind making $10-$15 extra, and I am sure people will pay to hold them over.

Based on what they said, it has the new ball physics included and player ratings are still being taken into account.
So it would be a nice way to preview some of the enhancements the gameplay makes year over year, without giving much away.

In PYS if you are playing from behind the pitcher camera you can see the ball trajectory off the bat before it switches to a fielding camera. In the show it only has this when you hit from the behind the pitcher view. That don't have it in there when you are pitching from the behind the pitcher view. And they don't have it in the HR derby when you hit behind the pitcher view.

Just a personal feature I love from PYS
