To the Poster asking about Lizard Skins brand...
Its a type of Bat Tape that players use. Instead of regular tape, they have a Metal Bat type grip to them.Attached FilesComment

Re: MLB The Show 17 Video - The Little Things: Expanded Sounds of the Show & More
In regards to the video. No these aren't really little things but what else would you call them?
There's also more parts to follow and a live stream so we'll hear more about them soon.
The more classic stadiums are always a bonus.
The new crowd sections are awesome. Its so cool to see The 7 Line at Citi Field, though I hope they properly portray what they do. The 7 Line is not at EVERY home game. They have maybe 10 outings a season where they all sit in the section. But they are at Every Home Playoff game. (They also travel to opponents ballparks throughout the year but I don't expect that to be in the game).
SOTS additions are nice, I can't wait to see how the SOTS Packs come out this year.
And I'm curious about this Critical Moments feature.
My hunch is, when you are simulating through your franchise and a moment in a simulated game comes up where it's let's say Bottom of the 9th, tie game. A notification pops up and shows you there's a Big Moment in your game. You have the option to go into that game and play that moment.
Or one of your players is close to a milestone, you can jump into his at-bat and try to accompish the milestone.
This works similar to MLB Network nightly baseball show MLB Tonight. Throughout the night of baseball, MLB Network can jump into any live game at any big moment and show you what's happening live or show replays of big moments. I feel Critical Moments work like this. Throughout the season/day you can jump into big moments either throughout the entire MLB or just within your team.
If this is what Critical Moments are, I am going to have an absolute blast with them, I love MLB Tonight and in The Show, playing 162 with the same team, you may get 5-10 walk-off situations with your team. But playing with every team and all of their Critical Moments could be SO MUCH FUN!Last edited by MetsFan16; 02-20-2017, 01:47 PM.Comment

Hmm, is the only way to carry over '16 files (franchise, etc) through the cloud this year? It said "no need" to save them locally anymore, I'm hoping that doesn't mean the option is gone.Comment

1) new "Acqusitions" tab, looks like transactions, trades, Free agent options may have their own screen.
2) Budget option indicates a weekly cash flow. Maybe it indicates that operations costs, ticket, parking, concession sales, etc will be back in detail this year.
3) "Missions" option, I wonder what rewards can be received from missions in franchise mode?Last edited by HypoLuxa13; 02-20-2017, 06:53 PM.Comment

Hey look at that they put an MLB The Show signs on the foul poles at minute maid park
Yes It's not the real chick Chick-fil-A sign but obviously they cant use that.
I been asking for a fake sign for the foul pole for years now so happy to finally see them added fake or not
I have to say these guys really seem to be on a roll this year as far as the stadium updates. It gives me high hopes that Citizens Bank Park may have finally got a lot of love this year!!!Attached FilesLast edited by tnixen; 02-20-2017, 02:20 PM.Comment

As far as the Numbers placement on the jerseys it definitely looks improved if not even fixed for the back of the jerseys with names. Still waiting to see back of jerseys without names. And as far as the front of the jerseys the numbers sort of look improved a little in these screen shots but I think they still are not high enough!I mean how hard can it be to fix? Just look at all the real life jerseys and make them look exactly the same
Also I really don't think this is a style guide issue in this case. Honestly even with the name on back I think the number maybe should be a little higher as well but hard to tell on this.
I really hope this is early footage and perhaps all the number placements will be fixed in the final game.Last edited by tnixen; 02-20-2017, 02:22 PM.Comment

It doesn't look "cheap" by any stretch...I like the design of the display, just curious about the naming convention that is listed for the SP.Originally posted by Gibson88Anyone who asked for an ETA is not being Master of their Domain.

Re: MLB The Show 17 Video - The Little Things: Expanded Sounds of the Show & More
I don't know the difficulties they're having with front jersey numbers, but I think it's a program that has to include every jersey. The reasoning would be that in real life the numbers and the jerseys are one item. In the game they're not. The jerseys would be one build, then the numbers programed on top of that. Add to that the numbers must change per player and they must be in a position where they do not overlap any logos on the jersey. That would include all jerseys and all size players. It's just not as simple as it would seem to be. The fonts would probably be easier to address, but then what is on the style guide?Comment

Was hoping to see some things fixed for the Metrodome, but at the least the roof is fixed and it's in MLB 17.Comment
