    Maybe it's just me...

I would love to see more Normal catches from the 1B from the other infielders. There's a ton of weird catches by the 1B but not many where he stretches and catches it like normal.

Like they've done with the catcher and new setups, I hope they put a similar focus on 1B next year.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

Completely agree. Some of the scoops are a bit goofy. There is one in particular where the first baseman catches it, then double taps the bag as if he never had a foot on it (usually the foot double tapping never actually hits the bag lol). Maybe it's just me but I've felt like there are maybe too many inaccurate throws to first in previous iterations. I have faith after seeing the progress this year in the animations department that they'll improve next year and beyond.

What I question is -- are the ST jerseys even in the Style Guide? Something tells me with all the effort SDS put in this year on the Uniforms, that if the ST jerseys were in the Style Guide, they would've been put in the game.

In most cases, like the Rangers, Astros, Mariners, A's, Angels, Twins, Indians, Royals, Blue Jays, Rays, Red Sox, Orioles, Giants, Rockies, D'Backs, Padres, Cubs, Brewers, Reds, Pirates, Marlins, Mets, Nationals & Phillies -- all of their ST jerseys, are actually in game as Alternates. They just don't have the ST logo, but the jerseys are there for the most part.

The teams that are hurt potentially by the lack of ST jerseys are teams like the White Sox, Tigers, Yankees, Dodgers & Braves. The White Sox have a black jersey alternate in the game, but their ST jersey is black with the 1980s-style logo. The Tigers & Yankees both have TWO ST jerseys, a home & road version, and i'm hoping they'll be in game as their alternates, being they don't have an alternate in real life, but have a slot. The Braves ST jersey is basically their Road alternate, but with 'Braves' across the front, instead of 'Atlanta'.

Like I said before, the lack of ST jerseys is a big hit mostly on the Yankees & Tigers. Hopefully they found a way in there as alternates for those teams. It's gonna suck if those two just have two jerseys in the game, home white and road gray, and basically nothing else than just different iterations of white & grey.

This is very helpful. Maybe we could start at thread where people could post what jersey/cap to use for each team during ST games. And if the jersey/cap is not in the game we could post what is closest. Just an idea. [emoji3]

It drives me nuts too. Loads and strides need to be natural. Watching a video of Griffey, the bridge between his stance and finished follow through is awful.

I started a thread for people to post what uniform selection to use in MLB the Show to replicate the missing spring training uniforms.

anyone happen to know if they fixed the issue where your players dont move if you have auto base running on? For example, say you have 2 guys on base, the batter hits a single but those 2 runners just stand there unless you manually move them your self.

does anyone know if you will be able to pick your uniform in a online rated game?

Forget what thread I saw it in, but they said not this year

Sliders are a big part of this game, more than any other sports franchise I play. It probably has a lot to do with the fact baseball is my favorite sport so I notice when things are not "real" compared to when I play lets say, soccer...my least favorite sport IRL.
That's why we're all different. Through The Show '15 I always had hitting on rookie because hitting was difficulty for me. Even on rookie I wouldn't smash the ball but it made me feel I was still useful and having fun.

Something clicked on '16 and my hitting difficulty was quite high and I did well. I did have some eye surgery which I suspect helped. So real is subjective. My point being where it might be easy for some might be perfect or even difficult for others. We all have different eyes. My eyes at 51 aren't the same as when I was 21.

VR would probably be so uncomfortable to your vestibular system, the movement would more than likely would induce motion sickness.

VR support should only be in a mode like "Manage Mode" you can be in the stadium watching calling your strategy would be great to experience videogame baseball.

I wanted to tie this into the correct thread. Seeing more of the game during the Twitch stream, I love the new ball physics, but air and ground physics still leave a lot to be desired. I have to do some empirical timing in real life scenarios, but the ball gets to the outfielders too quickly. Maybe it's the positioning of the outfielders and their speed just the same, but the "spacing" between infielders and outfielders simply isn't there.

Someone else mentioned once that fixing one things changes a bunch of others, which is true... but in this case, I feel a lot of things are changed to fix a one thing at a time too. The grass has to cushion the ball's bounces a bit more. I think I saw a ground rule double at Progressive Field that bounced off the grass, which goes to show it's bouncing too high on that. Lower the bouncing, that will help reduce the speed. I feel that's step one.

Just a long way to go there, even though the ball physics themselves (regarding spin) are going to be much better this time around. Maybe reducing the Solid Hits slider will be the start for this particular iteration of the game.
