if you look at the alt 1 uniform the Texas Rangers have been wearing the uniforms for years and every year MLB THE SHOW 17 never puts them in the game they said this year all uniforms was in the game I watched the video the other day on twitch and when they showed the Rangers uniforms the red undershirt alt 1was not on there they said every uniform was in the game not me

They said "every uniform in the style guide" was in the game.

The white uniforms are in. The undershirts and socks aren't in the style guide.

Game is looking great. A major thank you for the updated ball physics. Looks so much more dynamic and realistic. This one update is worth 10 others.

On that note, slightly disappointing that we don't have new camera(s) to show off the ball in flight. I know its usually a minority on here that talk about cameras (me and Blzer and a couple of others annually chiming in for a mid to second deck camera that shows off the entire field). I realize the ball might be hard to see, but I play auto-fielding, and I would kill to have a second deck camera where I could watch (almost fan cam style) all the action on the field at the same time. Seeing players moving to get into back up position, watching the arc of the ball....would be very exciting in my opinion, especially on launches that you aren't sure can carry. Hey, just like being at a real game :-)

Retro is a genius idea. Here's to hoping it has the following: Ability to play that mode as a season or franchise with stat tracking; ability to turn on generated counts; ability to adjust difficultly (a way to dial in statistics since it seems like it would be high scoring games).

Oh I know. I was just pointing out the mitts now. Fulmer is about the only one so far that I've found wearing it right now. Was just curious if this was added to the show yet in the mitt section.

Speaking of trademarks, are the caps going to have the New Era logo in the game like in real life. I hope not.

Ok, so if it's not dictated by the style guide, then it definitely should be in, no? If styles don't restrict it, then no excuse to not have an Alt white with red undershirts.

That's a little unfair to say don't you think?

We have no idea how much time and resources is put into creating a uniform. And with them taking on the task of getting all the uniforms from the style guide into the game, maybe they simply ran out of time.

I understand you want the uniform in the game and that the Rangers currently use them, but I just don't think its fair to make a comment that SCEA has no excuse for not putting them into the game when we have no idea what all is involved in creating a uniform.

Considering all the uniform upgrades done this year they actually have very little to do as far as uniforms next year so I'd say getting the Rangers whites in with red accessories and fixing the Brewers Friday retro alt color and brightening most of the reds that are too dark should be at the top of the uniform to do list for 18 along with any changes being made for the 2018 season.

The point is, all the uniform work this year should go a long way in making uniforms even better next year because there's so much less to be done.

I dont think it unfair for you to have your opinion, or voice it, as long as its done in a respectable manner. I have complete confidence in OS mods to let you know if you've crossed that line.
But thats only my opinion.
As for myself, IMO the leap from 16 to 17, uni-wise, is unbelievable. It wouldnt bother me at all if in 18 they put uniform work on the back burner, and spent that time elsewhere. But then, I'm not that heavy into uniforms. So Sony would probably be better off not listening tome

They will. Already revealed in trailers/streams. They look just as bad in the game as they do in real life too.

I'm sure I will eventually get used to it but til then I'm not happy about it and hope they revert at some time. I rememember about 25 years ago I wasnt happy when they started putting the MLB logo on the back of fitted caps. But now I wouldnt have it any other way.

The cap side logo really bothers me. I agree with the earlier comment that I hope they revert back. I would love a team logo only cap again, no new era or MLB logo. It really hurts the look of teams like the Tigers or Yankees with the classic look caps. I'll never purchase a cap with that on it, it is really the only way to get it removed is if the sales drop. No disrespect to those who like it but it's just not for me.

Sales will never drop low enough for them to revert back on this. Most people who buy the caps don't care about that logo on the side. You and a couple others who decide to boycott the product won't even make a dent on their financial gains from this. Sadly this is just the truth.

I don't want to derail the thread with all of the reasons I hate it but I will say that I personally think it sticks out like a sore thumb. My eye is immediately drawn to it during press conferences and cutaways to the dugout. It's particularly bad when the flag is white and the background is navy or black.

I get what you're saying about 'pop' but I feel that the batterman does a good enough job of spicing caps up. Another logo just clutters the cap AFAIC.

And this is exactly why it's done and why it won't go away. You just admitted that your eyes are immediately drawn to it and that's exactly what New Era wants. This is just the way it's gonna be from now on because from a business perspective it makes perfect sense.
