Well that explains why I havent heard too frequently. I dont use the slide step and my RTTS days have dwindled down to minimum the last 2 years.

Secondly, we know since they have the MLB Network presentation that the commentators will be from the MLB Network pool of play-by-play guys. None of the play-by-play guys match the stars.
It'll probably be a color commentator since Matty is still the play-by-play guy, so that opens it up a bit.

One thing that I'm hoping for is that players are referred to by their actual names. The only time they are is when they step up to the plate or a new pitcher enters the game. Any other time the commentators just call them "this guy" or "that manager" or "there's a lefty warming up in the bullpen" or "their closer is warming up." Where's the actual names? It's so dull and ruins the immersion for me

Agree. To their credit though, last year they added the names when a player would make a play in the field.

I do not agree NBA 2K and MLB 2K while definitely not perfect they at least do a much better effort in sounding like real life broadcast. I've done sound test with a few different people they were in the other room just listening to the audio from both games and everyone of them always said the 2K Games sounded more like real life broadcast. I'm not saying that proves anything but just saying [emoji1]

2K has always been able to do commentary/presentation right.

I kind of have a feeling that The Show has been working on the MLB Network thing for a few years now. It's not a coincidence that Harold Reynolds was recording lines for them last year. They have also had MLB Network advertisements in the stadiums for that past few years as well.
