Is it Worth Getting 16 For The Next Month

With a month still to go until 17 is released I skipped 16 last year. I still have The Show 15 but don't really want to go back to it since its probably a little too outdated now. If I could get it cheap enough should I go for 16 to tide me over until 17 is released in March. I should note I generally just play Franchise Mode with one of the rosters full with legends on 15.

well if you plan to keep that franchise going, you will need 16 to be able to transfer it to 17.

If it were me I'd jut hold off, 16 is still about $30 here in Ontario, UNLESS you plan on carrying over the franchise into 17, in that case it could be worth it depending on how much you're willing to spend.

Depends on how cheap 16 is selling for. Where I live, it's still sells for 50% of what 17 sells for. So I'd play 15 while you wait for 17. 16 was a good game, but I don't know, my call is to save your money. Play 15 while you wait for 17. It's only 4 weeks from now.

I love Show 16 but unless you can get it for under $10, it wont kill you to wait on 17.
Unless you want to carry a save from 15 to 17. Then by all means get 16 for at least a few days.

I'd wait till 17 comes out. As stated earlier, unless you plan on carrying over a franchise from 15, then you'll need 16 to carry it over to 17. If this isn't the case, spending money on a game you'll never pick up again after a month isn't worth it.

I would say no and here is why....

I have always had a problem with ball physics in this game and always complained about too many pop-ups, grounders, and not enough doubles...

After seeing the new ball physics and then playing MLB 16 again to hold me over....I get more frustrated than ever. Every time I see a ball hang too long, a ball not hooking into foul territory, or some BS popup on a ball I timed perfect I think "man I cannot wait for new ball physics!"

Now this could just be me, but that is enough to make me actually begin to hate anything before MLB 17 without even playing MLB 17!

If you're itching to play baseball and don't want to wait until '17 drops, then I say go for it! '16 is a very good game. You can jump start your baseball season and then transfer your franchise/RTTS over to '17 when it comes out, or when you decide to pick it up.

Thanks for the replies. I will probably just hold off. Im not desperate to carry over my Franchise from 15 over to 17 and odds are there will be legends rosters that are just as good in 17.

I'll sell you mine for $10 haha I never usually sell old games (in fact, never do) but for MLB the show, I think its fine since I will never touch the old games once the new game is out. I usually sell the old game in January/early-February for ~$15 so the way I see it, it's like a discount towards the new game haha

This year I forgot to do this. Too busy and I've actually been playing a lot lately.

Go buy it used from Gamestop. Play it for a week, then decide if you want to keep it. If not, return it for a refund. At least then you can tranfer your season from 15 to 16, then 16 to 17
