So does this mean foul ball tracking into the stands is still not there? Because it wasn't in last year. This is a problem with Broadcast Presentation.

is it possible to do critical situations without player lock? seemed like every example in the video was locked on only one player. I'd prefer that mode to be able to bat with multiple hitters, field, swap out pitchers, etc

It depends on the situation. If a player is going for a cycle, 3 home run game, or complete game shut out, it will be a player lock.

If the situation is "close out the bottom of the 9th" or "get a rally going and walk it off" it will not be a player lock.

I am pretty sure even if it is a player lock situation, you can remove the player lock and play with the full team.

Yes you can, once you enter the game you play out that 'critical situation' and as long as it's not the last out of the game you can play out the rest of the game like normal, with control of the whole team

I just started playing 17 the last few days. Unless I'm missing it somehow I'm very disappointed in not being able to player lock on the closer. I've loved doing that the last few years.

Also as a hitter on player lock you can't play with a quick count?

If you can't do those things this game just went way downhill.

Player Lock was better in 2015. Now I can't leave my player on the bench and wait for a pinch hit opportunity. Hopefully they change it back to how it was.
