I remember in MLB 08 The Show, we were able to set prices, get stadium advertisements, a radio deal, TV deal, hell we could even choose which mode of transportation we wanted (#buslife)

I'd love to have that back and have my team's success more directly impact my budget, as opposed to simply having the AI owner decide the budget.

If not that, then at the very least, if I win a WS, my budget shouldn't be cut 10%.

NINJA EDIT: I specified 08 because I remember having a 120 year franchise going for that game, and its taken me till MLB 16 to even get past 20 years again.

Something new to edit, that wasnt editable before. The ability to edit potential may seem small but when they added that a few years back, I was positively giddy. Hopefully service time is next. Or coach/manager names. I'm also hoping morale was tweaked for 17.

Does this mean as of now every year my schedule will be the same and I'll play the same teams over and over?

Yes.


My current Red Sox file, I'm playing the NL West and a four game set with Atlanta, that has two home and two away.


The next season I get the same NL West, some home/away flipped from the previous season, although the two home/two away was with Philadelphia.


That might be since Boston doesn't have a traditional rival. If I was using Baltimore, I assume that slot would have been Washington both seasons.

As I am sitting here playing the 2021 All Stars game. I would really like to see a set of generic All Stars jerseys in the game. Why 5 years after the Petco All Stars game are we all still wearing the same uniforms? Even just generic white and greys with AL/NL All Stars on them.

The one thing I really, REALLY need is the scheduling fixed. Playing the same teams in interleague year after year is a downer. I'm playing Year 2 in my Royals franchise now, and St. Louis isn't even on the schedule at all. Takes a bit of the fun out of franchise.

There is a long list of things I could put here, but realistically, if they fix the schedule and add historical stats, I'll be good for this year. Next year, though, let's really put some juice back in to franchise mode.

really would love a import player option into franchise to save hours of work re doing faces evey time and adding in players

I'd like interleague games to be customisable, make your own IL sched before ST.

Rotating interleague schedule, 3 team trades, mid-season extensions.

I think these are very possible. They would be nice to have this year.

A few things I would like are international free agents, draft classes being for the same season you scout(changing the players when you enter the draft is dumb), rotating schedules, and non roster invitees.

The non roster invitees would be nice so I could use prospects or vets on minor league deals versus MLB players before putting them on the 40 man. Also being able to switch between MLB and minor league deals for free agents would be nice

Most of what i want to see added or improved is already listed.
What i would like to see and something i have wanted to see added for a number of years now is each teams best hitter/hitters for each game listed in the league update tab on the home page along with the W/L/S pitchers.
Every now and again it will show a teams best hitters stats so it shouldn't be to hard to get it to display each teams best hitter/hitters everytime.

Would be great if i didn't have to go thru every games full box score just to see which batter's had a good game and influenced the games result.
Sometimes the radio show will give this info but not all the time.

As I have posted before, my biggest request is a relocation/expansion mode. The diamond dynasty logo and uniform editor could be placed in franchise mode, and you would use those already existing features to create your relocated/expansion team's look.

Of course, if they were to expand on this mode, I would love to see a stadium creator feature, but I understand that this feature would take a lot of resources (if not all of the resources) in a given development cycle. Still, I think it would be worth it.

I find great appeal in having the ability to start a brand new franchise, and building its history from the ground up. I know the developers have mentioned discussing a similar feature in the past, and I really hope it will be implemented next year, as it looks like its not happening in 2017.

Not sure if the team would want to implement a relocation feature, as the MLB might not approve that. However, I think an expansion mode would be reasonable, as Rob Manfred has suggested that baseball will expand in the near future.

When diamond dynasty brought the logo/uniform editor to the game, I was excited because I thought it would be the first step towards the team putting a relocation/expansion mode in the game. I guess I was wrong, but I still hold out hope every year that this will happen.

Basically, the ability to be creative in this game by making my own expansion team would keep me engaged for most of the year, and I have certainly seen other people requesting this feature on the forums and elsewhere.

I actually spent most of my time playing diamond dynasty last year, because I really enjoyed making my own uniforms and logo. I am disappointed that a mode like this will not be in the game this year, as most other sports games have this feature (I know, the development team is small). We will see for next year!

Couple things...maybe retweaking player progression (too many really good players with still great numbers are retiring way too soon in my franchise). Also think the injury retirements are too great as well and needs to be tweaked a little bit.

Seems like rotating interleague schedules is the new retractable roofs.

Speaking of the All Star Game, it would be nice for the uniform patch to change to the correct host team each season. I remember chising with the Padres and the ASG patch was still on the jerseys the year after hosting it! I would rather not have the patch at all than it be on the wrong team's jerseys. I dislike that more than having the generic All Star uniforms during the actual game.
