I will likely never use critical situations. they need to give much more situational chances than the few assigned now. I would also like if they would make a list and we could pick what situations to enter into, per team we control (solo vs 30-team control, for example). this can be a new addition for MLB 18.

Quick manage will be the mode I adore. I have asked SCEA for this for many years and finally they have it. I just hope runners advance properly and cpu logic is not as bad as SM has been for far too long.

I think 17 will be the greatest sports game ever made. Period. those on forums that attack SCEA like they have been slothful and done nothing are foolish. Remember, baseball is baseball and Quick Manage is the biggest addition I feel they have ever made to the game. Ball physics are essential as well.

Since I'll be running four franchises in 17, I think I'll be using these features pretty often.

I'm sure I will use critical situations at some point but some of the situations presented to you arent really critical so much as milestones. I know its just semantics but to me all 9 innings are critical so I wont do too much simming anyways (and every extra inning affair is critical, so I will play all those). Usually, but not all of, the only time I will do any simming will be if the game is late and out of hand.

Not a fan of the wording in the poll.

I chose #1 because they are great features and I'll use them all the time however, I would've loved features to make the mode deeper for sure.

The second option says "some", I'll use it more than some so I wasn't sure how to answer it.

I think the last option is just unrealistic thinking.

Use them a lot. Outside my player lock franchise I have another where I usually just play 1 day a week, I usually pick Tuesday. Now instead of simming all the rest the critical situations will be a great addition plus I can can quick manage a few. I'll stay fully play one a week though.

I like Critical Situations A LOT.

When playing 162 with one team, you may get 10-15 walk-off Situations and you when you sim the other 14 games that day you miss out on a lot of fun, exciting moments.

With Critical Moments I plan on playing most/if not all of the Critical Moments every day. It'll be like a MLB Tonight program where I jump into the big moments of every game during a night of baseball. All with MLB Network broadcasting.
And then play the full 9 inning game with the Mets.

Over the course of the season, I'm expecting to have a lot of fun with all 30 teams. As opposed to just a couple of fun moments with my Mets games if I'm lucky.

As for Quick Manage, it's whatever for me. I don't sim games, and if I do, I don't need to know what happens to each batter.

The wording in the poll left something to be desired.

Quick manage will be used. I try to play every game, but I know there are going to be times when I just can't fit in the time, so it will be quick manage.

The critical situation? Dunno. Maybe just to see what it's like, but dunno.

Yea, very poor wording and options so I can't really contribute to the poll.

I think the options are great and can't take anything away from them as they will be used by many but they aren't something I will use.

I always play 1 and sim 5 so I'll probably be using Critical Situations a lot but I would have liked if other features made it in instead of those two.

Huge disappointment to me. I either play out a game or sim a game. There would never be a situation where I would use critical situations or quick manage. I understand others like this feature, but the lack of improvements in Franchise mode, for me, makes this a skip year.

I think that for us that post in the Dynasties Section will love Critical Situations, I know I will. This feature will be very handy for this sport especially. Let's be honest, it's very hard to get through 162, whether you play all or some of them.

By the time you're done with 162 and maybe two seasons, next year's game will be out.

Also, someone like me with an 8-5, a wife and 3 kids, Critical Situations is huge...along with ball physics!!! I'm sold.

Franchise is basically the only mode I play and none of the new features interest me in the least. I love playing almost every inning of every game (I may sim 10 or so games through a 162 game season), so jumping into a "Critical Situation" where I have no real feeling for what has happened leading up to that point, leaves me wanting. I need to know how this "Critical Situation" came about. Having the back story to it makes it so much more enjoyable for me. For example, maybe the guy at bat who has a chance to tie/win the game with a hit committed an error earlier in the game that led to the oppositions lead. Again, by just jumping straight to the action, I may not know that goat to hero story.

With all of that said however, I have no problem with the developers adding the new alternatives to playing franchise, so long as they haven't taken away from those of us who enjoy playing complete games, the ability for people to play franchise in the manner we've become accustomed to. If these new additions bring more people to the game, then I say, here, here! Bring 'em on!
