You know this game is looking good when really the only 2 small complaints I have is the numbers on the backs of some Yankee player jerseys still look to low when you compare to real life. And the second is the chalk lines are not disappearing as the game progresses. Both of these small issues can probably be fixed for 18. Big thumbs up to the MLB The Show development team you guys are doing an amazing job! [emoji1]

Looked like Gardner was using a Mizuno bat unless I'm mistaken. I didn't go back and look which I will do now to confirm. Also Bautista wears Marucci batting gloves (not sure if that's what you meant) but I don't believe those are in either.

Helmets look so naked without the front number on the brims. Wonder what happened to them that neither team had helmet numbers? Hope it isn't a league wide issue or a bug, or that it can be patched somehow.

Ramone maybe you can chime in and answer this quick question on the new career stats Hitter vs Pitcher career stats OSD.

I saw Bautista vs Tanaka OSD pop up in his first AB vs Tanaka in this video. So The question is, in franchise mode will that update as we play against Tanaka or whatever pitchers/hitters etc as we progress through the season and beyond?

I'm with you. Don't know why they always play on fast play or hybrid and mashing the X button ( same during the Thursdays twitch). They have a beautiful game , let us enjoy it in all his beauty ;-)

I just hope the broadcast option did see improvement, But that's only wishful thinking. It's been a priority to emphasize how quickly you can x through all break in play scenarios.. (for going on 5 years now) No other franchise embraces this philosophy but this one has been embracing it, and to the extreme.

Wow the new humanity AI is going to be huge. The slow, non urgency throws look like they will be a thing of the past on plays that demand urgency.

I like the idea of what they are trying to do with the grass but in effect it looks like a blurry texture soup (even more so than usual)

Hopefully the Pro sorts the AF issues (assuming that's the cause)

Good question. It'll probably be different depending on PS4 vs PS4 Pro also.

Let's not forget that Ramone mentioned they removed all of those long running into the wall animations in the outfield!

Could you point out where in the stream that was mentioned? The tagging up and scoring from 2nd base on these animations was probably the most offensive piece of gameplay left.

Even if it's a problem, wasn't this a patch-able issue in previous years? I don't think it's a big deal to fix.

You misunderstood. Some people were complaining about seeing no chalk degradation. The post I responded to mentioned that he did see chalk degradation. My post adds on that whether it's working or not at this moment, the developers have been able to patch in chalk degradation in previous games.

I agree somewhat. The colors and lighting on the grass this year look great and much improved, don't get me wrong. But, in the far away shots that show the whole field, the grass texture still doesn't look great. Kind of splotchy and lo-res like they've been for years. Hopefully this is something that can be worked on for The Show 18.
