I think game makers should stagger the release. For example this year regular price on March 28th. $80 for March 23rd and $100 for March 18th. They make more money and gamers willing to pay get what they want....

On paper this sounds cool to me, and your heart is in the right place, but I feel like this approach would become a "Pandora's Box" type deal

EA did that with Battlefield One. They had the early enlister's edition which was $10 more for 3 days early access....Its going to start happening more and more

No. You had to pay extra to get it on the Tuesday ALL their games release on. If you didn't, release was Friday.

Sure, technically it was "early" but it was not at all. Early would've been the Friday before.

I would hope game companies don't start to do that. I think it's a terrible practice.

You're splitting hairs. The game releases when it releases. They released it on a Friday therefore Tuesday was "early". The new COD released on a Friday.

I just realized I had 1 mom and pop store in my area... they don't even carry new games. Just retro.

Guess I have no shot of getting it early locally anyways.

I did read your comment. EA isn't required to release a game on a Tuesday. They released it on a Friday. Just like the new COD which I pointed out because Tuesday isn't always the norm anymore. Titanfall 2 (EA game) released on the Friday after BF.

My point still stands that EA did the "pay for early access model" with Battlefield whether you want to accept it or not. Therefore pandora's box was already opened

yeah, I'm content too, but I still enjoy the early hunt, probably more than actually finding it lol

I will still revisit 16 from time to time because of Big Papi, Jose Fernandez, Yordano Ventura, Cliff Lee and even A-Rod.

I know, I thought for sure today. Last year, I got it delivered Wed and bought on Tuesday. Hopefully tomorrow! Good thing is tonight I'll be up late watching team USA in WBC, so I'll keep checking!

I think if I don't find a copy or a sale on Ebay by tomorrow night I am gonna give up the search and just be content with my current games until Tuesday. I say that now, but then I will probably find myself hitting refresh on Ebay all day Thursday lol
