I dont X out of anything either. I do use pitch counts, and have noticed it cuts roughly a 1/2 hr off the game by using quick counts.

Only reason I use quick counts, is for drawing realistic walk amounts. I really struggle swinging the bat and drawing walks, so I do it to get realistic stats, rather than cutting down time of games.

I know Im probably in the minority but I love the cut scenes, I have found even though its a struggle for me, playing MLBTS is just relaxing to me, its as close to watching the real thing as any sports game made imo.

I play multiple seasons a year with QC. While it does hinder strategy at times, I find it much more fun. I can feasibly play multiple seasons, and I also find that walk and strike out numbers are much more realistic over the long haul.

Personally, I love quick counts. In my mind, it's one of my 2 or 3 favorite features in the history of the show. I do the fastest presentation option and quick counts and roll through as many games as I can. I am cursed with a desire to play with players from every team, thus I start every year with 30 team control, playing every home game for every team. I've never finished a season, even with quick counts and limited presentation. Honestly, I've never even been close.

I would say it took me 45 minutes a game with quick counts as opposed to 70-90 minutes with full counts, broadcast mode and not “x” through cut scenes etc.

QC did the same to my approach. I felt the need to swing at EVERYthing. I had to cut waay back on the amount of games played w/QC. My pitching game wasnt altered by QC though.
I wish SDS could find a happy marriage between QC off and on during games.
I think swinging at nearly every pitch made my QC game experience 25-30 minutes usually.
I dont think I shaved it down to 15minutes though. Maybe if when pitching I threw nearly every pitch in the zone would cut it down more.

quick count vs normal game time

I like quick counts. It definitely helps me get strikeout and walks numbers more realistic when hitting. And for pitching it helps my pitch counts. Without quick counts I throw complete games with 80 pitches.

I like watching some cutscenes but of course when I'm struggling I mash through them all to get the game over quickly and start up the next one.

I do however want QC to be part of the options screen. Not something I have to turn on before every game. Even keep it on by default before every game like the broadcast setting.

If you turn on fast play, the next game you play it'll be set to fast play. But with quick counts you have to turn it from off to on before every game.

Re: quick count vs normal game time

Don't like quick counts the whole idea of baseball is to work the count or find ways to strikeout and set up a batter, you take way to much out of it by using quick counts.

Re: quick count vs normal game time

Tried quick counts a game or two but I just hate it when the strategy part goes out the window. Same thing happened with Madden moments...just don't feel the strategy part of it and I tend to get bored quickly if the one game after the other just rushes part with no strategy etc.

It is the tension moments that really gets my blood flowing and making me excited...so it is full game for me.
