    Hitting camera

I wonder if in MLB17 the Show there are the same cameras (retro/mlb15/offset etc) as in MLB16 the show. I use offset 2 as my favorite in 18.
    Thanks already.

Pretty sure Ramone said the Hitting Cameras were unchanged, during on the streams.

Can confirm. Even have The Show 15 as a camera as well as last years.

I love that Fish Eye camera!

Gives you amazing depth of field.

I hate to be that guy, but I think the proper term here would be "field of view." Of course, I've never been a photographer so I actually may have the terms wrong myself.

Regardless, you definitely make a good point though. MLB 2K10 first introduced the idea of this camera type, but made a bit of an eyesore out of it by having the entire bottom portion of the screen be the dirt behind home plate.

I understand what it allows you to do as a hitter seeing pitches come into the strike zone, but call me crazy when I say I actually do sacrifice a little pitch recognition for something slightly more aesthetically pleasing. That being said, I like a lesser field of view myself. Reminds me a bit more of when I used to play, as the pitcher and outfield didn't seem microscopic to me.

I'll have to play with '17 when I get it and see what I land on, but in the past I had a camera a bit like this:

            <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/9hLuDWQOGRs" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

As far as the game's new gameplay cameras, the only two new ones are the batting and fielding ones for Retro Mode. Everything else should be the same. Millennium actually scrolls through all of them in his gameplay Twitch stream from today.

Speaking of which, Ramone did say in a Twitch stream that he hopes to get new ones next year... hopefully for fielding that means a broadcast cam, but for hitting I'd actually like to see us be able to adjust FOV on our own. Playing with that a lot would lend to some very awesome and unique batting cameras.

I still wish they kept the classic cafcher views they had untill 16.
