Mine downloaded 30gb overnight, but has moved to a snails pace (went from showing an hour to go when I got up at 6am to 3.5 hours to go 4 hours later). My PS4 is still showing a download speed of 35mbs though.

Seriously, what's going on with this? It's now up to 13 hours and my PS4 is still showing 35mbs download. I even tried pausing and restarting.

I would imagine that a lot of people are attempting downloading the game right now. Ramon has told us that the OS community is only a small fraction of the overall number of users SDS has playing the game.

My pre-load experience from 2015 and 2016 were also slow. But in both years I was done downloading before the game unlocked. Hopefully this year is the same. But with MLB 17 being a huge year for positive changes to the game bringing in new customers, perhaps I should re-evaluate pre-loading the game in the future. At the rate I am downloading (only 2 mbps) it looks like I may need to wait until next weekend before I can play the game.

Can some please spare me some packets? Someone? Crickets ...

Put it in rest mode. It downloads faster.

Indeed, just rest mode while you sleep.


I stayed up until 2:30 AM and watched the Australian Grand Prix, went to bed, woke up, it's done sometime in the night. 48.87 GB downloaded. Just checked via Information tab on the Show 17.

This sounds dumb but it's how to get it to download.

Go to library / search / MLB /

Select MLB 17. Hit download. It's an issue with PSN. It has been since last update, I had to do this with both Mass Effect and MLB the Show

I don't know what time it downloaded as I was away most the night and didn't think to check it before bed last night. But after seeing this thread I checked mine now and it is fully downloaded. It was in rest mode all day yesterday so that may back up the statement that it downloads faster in rest mode. Now I just have to be taunted by the meter that states I can't play it for another 1 day and 9 hours and 43 minutes. LOL

My snail's pace download speed is between me and my ISP. I had what they used to call "highspeed" internet, but I guess it is now called "slowspeed". I just called my ISP, they have upgraded me to what they claim will be 150 mbps download speed, except that now I need a new modem. I could wait until tomorrow to visit the shop where I can pick up the modem as it is really close to where I work. But that would be wasting 24+ hours of download time to get this game pre-loaded. I guess it's time for a road trip this afternoon and less money in my wallet. LOL

I only chime in here because you mentioned you stayed up to watch the Australian GP (as did I). Woohoo ... someone other than Merc wins a race. I hope the 2017 F1 season is a competitive.

I tend to use Commienada but Canuckistan is very good too

There's nothing like playing The Show while watching my 8-9 feet high snow bank melt in front of my house.

I have my ps4 and my son has his own, I purchased the show on my ps4 under my account. It show on my sons dashboard but not on mine yet. When I go to my library, it shows purchased but no download option. Help

Go back to your library and search for 'Show'. Click on the game, and the option to download should show up.

It preloaded on my PS4 Pro, but i can't find the option to preload it on my standard PS4, it shows it's purchased, but nothing else.

Go to your library. Click up on the D-Pad to go to search. Type in 'Show'. Hit R2. Go down to 'MLB The Show 17' and click on it. Download option should pop right up.

Downloading for me just fine. Have about 5 gigs of 41 left. Will be ready for Tuesday.
