Go to your library. Click up on the D-Pad to go to search. Type in 'Show'. Hit R2. Go down to 'MLB The Show 17' and click on it. Download option should pop right up.

I am still not able to pre-load the game at all. I preordered the MVP edition on PSN and I cannot preload.

Mine eventually went when I rebooted the PS4, the ticking Auto download thing is completely useless if you leave your PS4 on, even it was on stand by, the only way to make it go was to reboot the PS4

anyway it only has 2 hours left to download, it's slow and its clearly not my net it's the PS store, I have to pause then go resume a few times to kick start the speed, thank god for preloading or I would be waiting a day to play it

Also for some reason the 6GB and 41 GB file BOTH downloaded at the same time, which was really annoying because it makes the download slower and bandwidth, it never used to do this but whatever the last System software update was started this with the bar next to it. I HATE the changes in notifications they had done

My snail's pace download speed is between me and my ISP. I had what they used to call "highspeed" internet, but I guess it is now called "slowspeed". I just called my ISP, they have upgraded me to what they claim will be 150 mbps download speed, except that now I need a new modem. I could wait until tomorrow to visit the shop where I can pick up the modem as it is really close to where I work. But that would be wasting 24+ hours of download time to get this game pre-loaded. I guess it's time for a road trip this afternoon and less money in my wallet. LOL

I only chime in here because you mentioned you stayed up to watch the Australian GP (as did I). Woohoo ... someone other than Merc wins a race. I hope the 2017 F1 season is a competitive.

AGREED. I'm a Kimi Raikkonen fan so a Vettel win is the next best thing. Hoping the Red Bulls can be competitive also, I see Williams dropping off with the move from Bottas to Stroll.

I'm preloading it right now, but it's only downloading a little more than 8 gb worth of it. Is that supposed to happen?

That's the quick install. If you played it after that (were this Tuesday), you'd only be able to play Indians and Cubs while the other teams/stadiums/etc downloaded in the background.


The actual full game is about 41 GB I believe. Mine was 48.87 all said and done. I've seen lower numbers, but I got the MVP one with the themes and whatnot so maybe that accounts for the size difference.

Okay the 8 gb downloaded, but it isn't giving me the option to download the whole thing. I need tips.

Edit: Never mind. I went to my notifications, and it says it is downloading the rest of it.

It downloads automatically. Go to the game on the XMB, click 'Options' on your controller and scroll down to 'Information'. It'll show your progress when you click on it.

Thanks man! Totally worked and downloading now. It most likely would have started eventually but tried this and it started. Got spooked cause it was 12:50 AM EST and didn't see anything. Been dealing with the WS-37397-9 so just keeping a watchful eye

Me too. My PS4 was in standby-mode with all needed options turned on. By the way, you can still force the download via web browser.
