Legends in franchise mode...

I've been watching streams all weekend and I keep seeing an option for "Legends" in franchise mode before starting. Personally, I am considering this, as it would be nice to mix eras. However, I am concerned that by doing this, we may also get stacked rosters and see top rated players wasting away on the bench. With review copies out there, has anyone run a test to see what kind of impact having this option set to "on" might have on roster management?

It's definitely an option. I watched MoonlightSeami leave it on in a video, but, he didn't go in depth or simulate further to see what kind of impact it may have had on roster management by the AI. He was just making the video to show how you can complete quick missions for stubs rewards in franchise mode. One of the objectives is to sign a legend.

I just wish I knew what would happen down the line. They don't come cheap either. Joe Morgan wanted $30mil+ per year to sign. This brings up the other issue of all legends signing with only big market clubs.

I'd love to know if you can do a fantasy draft in Franchise, but with Legends included.

I'd also like to know if you have to unlock the Legends to use them.

Yes you can do a Fantasy Draft with Legends. And No, you do not have to unlock them.

Mill did one on his stream Saturday.

This might not be everyones cup of tea, but I wanted to try something new for this yr version cause the franchise mode gets a little grinding for me at times. I've decided to create a legend for each team to spice it up (using their best statistical year to create ratings and give them an age). Some teams were easy to decide, but some obviously got screwed over lol (MIA and TB). Now I just have to decide ratings appropriately.... should be an interesting chise!

This might not be everyones cup of tea, but I wanted to try something new for this yr version cause the franchise mode gets a little grinding for me at times. You could always put Fred McGriff or Wade Boggs for TB and Gary Sheffield or Kevin Brown for Miami, then just use their best season of their career for their stats. Sure, it's cheating a little, but considering those teams are relativity new and don't have a long history, it might help you (and them) out a little.

Also, Blue Jays should definitely be Joe Carter.

You most certainly can and the legends are all available from the beginning!!! You guys will have a blast putting together a team through the draft
