Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread
I gave up a lot. not going to lie. My rotation still has Kershaw, Maeda, Hill. I have Julio up as well as McCarthy. But i dealt away for Yelich a package involving Ryu because the Marlins needed pitching bad and the both salaries were nice. I did give up prospects but its okay. For JBJ i did a package headlined by Andrew Toles who surprising has significant trade value in the game.Comment

Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread
Tigers are out of it and are in full sell mode, Yanks are 2 GB in the east. Headley hasnt been hitting at all.
Would a Jose Iglesias for Tyler Austin deal be fair? Iggy would play third and push Headley to the bench or DFA. Iggy has a normal iggy stat line. .278 with 3HR and 32 RBI near the break.Comment

Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread
In 2018 with the Phillies and I want to upgrade from Maikel Franco to a 3B with a bigger bat. I was thinking of a possible deal with the Twins, where we swap our two cost-controlled players in Franco and Miguel Sano, and I send them some high-end prospects. Now its only 1 month into the season, but twins are 8-16 and have already traded Buxton away for prospects.
The deal:
Twins Get:
Maikel Franco (83 ovr/85 pot) 3B, 25 yrs, 3 yrs control
Mickey Moniak (59 ovr/88 pot) CF, 19 yrs
Franklyn Kilome (66 ovr/85 pot) SP, 22 yrs
Phillies Get:
Miguel Sano (88 ovr/90 pot) 3B, 24 yrs, 4 yrs control
Maikel Franco Stats
2017: .258/.316/.402, 16 HR, 3.5 WAR, Gold Glove Winner
2018: .221/.288/.295, 2 HR
Miguel Sano Stats
2017: .275/.359/.501, 33 HR, 4.1 WAR
2018: .209/.298/.429, 4 HRComment

Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread
So I'm at July 17th in my blue jays franchise and I'm looking to add a backup catcher before the deadline. I currently have Luke Maile has my backup as like real life but he has been awful. He is batting .148 in 17 games. I have a list of guys I like and I would like to know if they are realistic options or not and what it would take to obtain them.
Geovany Soto- .259/.328/.498 18 HR 36 RBI. White sox are 7.5 games back in division and 9 back in wildcard.
Kurt Suzuki- .275/.348/.296 0 HR 15 RBI.
Tyler Flowers- .230/.303/.339 6 HR 31 RBI
Would it be realistic for Atlanta to trade one of these guys? Atlanta are 6.5 GB in division.
Alex Avila- .282/.379/.481 6 HR 26 RBI
James McCann- .240/.300/.385 7 HR 32 RBI
Would it also be realistic for the tigers to trade one of these guys? They are just 1.5 GB in division.
Finally Boston in my franchise traded for Stephan Vogt... they now have 4 MLB ready catchers on their roster. Vogt, Vazquez, Leon are all on the MLB team but swihart is stuck in AAA. Any chance I can get either Leon or Vazquez? I'm guessing Swihart still has lots of value so he would be out of my price range.
Sandy Léon- .241/.315/.289 0 HR 3 RBI. 29 G
Christian Vazquez- .357/.375/.787 2 HR 3 RBI. Just 7 games (14 AB)
Thanks for the help.Last edited by pickle2002; 05-29-2017, 09:08 PM.Comment

Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread
No. Teams hate trading in the division when it's substantial pieces. The Mets don't want to face deGrom and the Braves don't want to see Albies and Allard flourish in Queens. Look at Quintana or Archer and work from the Allard Albies package once you target an ace.

Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread
Maybe not Reyes but Carson Kelly and Luke Weaver for sure and go from there. Can't let the Cards keep their 3 best prospects and get Q

I don't think the Cards are dealing Kelly. They have no plan B for Molina's heir without him.
