Either of these deals make sense? I did both, was just curious.

Manny Machado for Ronald Acuna, Kolby Allard and Joey Wentz

Stephen Piscotty and Khris Davis for Luiz Gohara, Nick Markakis and Brandon McCarthy

did I do something completely unrealistic here?

Starting a new 'chise with the Reds. Would the Orioles be interested in Devin Mesoraco for one year even with Chance Cisco?? If not the Orioles who would be interested in acquiring him? Thanks

Yeah the Braves wouldn't move Acuña for 1 year of Machado and I doubt they would consider moving Gohara for that pairing of OFers

Stephen Piscotty one is bad. return is too old

Yeah, they make it a little difficult to do super realistic trades. Should be able to add cash and a few more slots would be nice.

Orioles would likely be interested just to have another possible competent bat in the lineup. Due to health reasons they wouldn't give you more than a C- type prospect.

Machado is roughly worth $21.2 for the 2018 season.

Ronald Acuna alone is worth roughly $73.5...yeah Acuna is not going for Machado.

Kolby Allard is worth roughly $16.5 and Joey Wentz is worth roughly $11.

So, I have a trade option for Manny Machado to the Braves.

              Orioles Receive:
              Kolby Allard
              Joey Wentz
              Drew Waters

              Braves Receive:
              Manny Machado
              Brad Brach

That second one is just a no. Gohara is more valuable than both of those outfielders, and it doesn't make sense honestly for either side. The A's have way too much pitching depth anyway, and the Braves don't need either of those two outfielders. Just a little sloppy of a deal for those two.

Anyone have any detailed info on the mention of the trade deadline feature in this year's game?
Maybe this doesn't belong here and maybe it's been posted already. If so please direct me there.
Trading is my favorite part of Franchise and in the IGN video a deadline feature was mentioned quickly.
                Thanks.

Any thoughts on a Brewers OF depth trade for a SP?

                  Braves Get:
                  Brett Phillips
Kodi Medeiros (or some other top 25 prospect)

                  Brewers Get:
                  Julio Teheran

Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread

                      30-Team Control. July 5, 2017.

Yankees are scuffling along at 42-41, 6.0 GB of the Blue Jays. It's been a disappointing year for Greg Bird (.198/.301/.402), who is increasingly losing playing time to Chris Carter (.310/.344/.515). It's also been a tough go for Didi Gregorious, who has hovered around the Mendoza Line all season.

Predictably, the A's are at the bottom of the AL West at 35-50. However, Yonder Alonso and Jed Lowrie are having excellent seasons. Oakland has already shipped Stephen Vogt and Rajai Davis to Milwaukee for Brett Phillips, and Barretto, Chapman, and Olson are all receiving regular playing time with the big league club.

What's a reasonable return here for Lowrie and Alonso? My initial inclination was something along the lines of Ian Clarkin and Dustin Fowler, with Greg Bird being sent down to AAA Scranton Wilkes-Barre.

Hey all, when MLB 18 comes out planning to start a Marlins franchise and looking to trade both Castro and Realmuto. What teams would be interested in those guys in your guys estimation as well as what kind of return would they garner. Thanks in advance

Starlin Castro would fit on the Brewers looking through all of the teams.

Castro has roughly $24 million in surplus value.

That could get a prospect like Monte Harrison back. The number 75 prospect in baseball.

JT Realmuto would fit in a lot of areas. Rangers, Rockies, Red Sox, Phillies, Angels, Brewers, Twins.

Realmuto's surplus is roughly $99 million taking into account his ARB money if he keeps up his pace.

If the Blue Jays wanted they could pull this off.

Vlad Jr or Bo Bichette and Nate Pearson could get this done. The first two are roughly worth $73.5 million and Nate is worth $15.6 million and that only equals $89.1 million, so you would have to add in $10 million in surplus still for "fair" value. That's the 3rd or 8th best prospect and the 91st best prospect.

With those two deals you could get three more players in the top 100 prospects on your team.

Thanks so much for the feedback Bard! What would potential fits for Justin Bour be and what kind of return would he garner? in your opinion? I was thinking of keeping Bour but if I'm continuing the Miami tear down I may do it all the way and trade him too. Once I trade Castro and Realmuto he is the only real trade piece left IMO unless someone wanted Straily or Chen from the rotation or maybe Barracolough from the pen but I think those would be deadline deals for desperate or injured teams at best.

Bour is worth roughly $23 million, so less than Castro. He could get you a top 80 or lower prospect straight up.

                              And love to help!
