You could trade them both for Raimel Tapia and German Marquez of the RockiesLast edited by babybombers; 04-07-2017, 11:57 AM.Comment

Ages 18-27 WAR raises .25 per year 28-30 it stays the same and 31-37 goes down .5 per year and 38 and over goes down .75 per year so in this case he is 29 so
2017-4.5
2018-4.5
2019-4
2020-3.5
2021-3
2022-2.5
22 WAR x 9 - 95 = Surplus of 103Comment

Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread
Figured all id get were Cs. Ok with that. Think i can build a team around trout, pujols, simmons, Calhoun, jahmai jones and matt thaiss. Pitching is easier to find anyways.
Ill be controlling colorado as well. Maybe i can use Heaney as a end of rotation guy for them and skagga maybe long relief. They need a lot of help pitchig wiseOakland A's - Seattle Mariners - Detroit TigersPittsburgh Steelers - Green Bay PackersDetroit Red WingsComment

So last question. How would you calculate someone that isn't in the majors and has team control and arbitration? I have seen a couple of examples on here, but what would the general formula be? I saw Kyle Lewis has a value of $38M, but how is someone calculated that won't be in the majors this year, or maybe even next year?

Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread
Do the Dodgers really need more pitching? I mean, obviously Quintana upgrades their rotation, but is it by enough for them to want to give up a lot of prospects for? It would leave them with even more money invested in starting pitchers who aren't going to be in the rotationComment

Carassco has been better than Tanaka and is owed less through 2019 before the option years hit ($19 million over 3 years) than Tanaka is for 2017 ($22 million)
Basically he's worth a lot more alone than Tanaka
