Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread
Hey guys I just started my blue jays franchise with the osfm rosters. I'm looking to trade Ryan goins. He is just sitting on my bench most games as Darwin Barney is my backup infielder so there is really no use for him. I'm hoping to get a right handed reliever or a long relief arm for the pullpen as it is pretty weak. I know goins doesn't have much value but I'm hoping there is some team that could use him.
ThanksComment

Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread
I've never had the issue getting trades to go through. Normally I just control the one main team I want, and haven't ever had issues getting other teams to accept tradesComment

Since it got lost:
Working on a Twins franchise. I want to retain Dozier (even after 2018), Sano, Buxton, Berrios, and Park (I believe in him) as my cornerstones. Everyone else is made available. I'm looking at pitching first, maybe a Hellickson-like guy. Where do you think is a good place to start?Comment

Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread
I've been toying with franchise mode with the release of OSFM17, and have been struggling to get trades to go through. Initially I chose just one team (Twins) and then found a trade to match-up with the Mets. I got the system to say that they are interested in that trade, but when I offer it, it says that they aren't interested in the trade. I made it a little more lopsided in their favor and they still won't accept. I restarted a new franchise and turned on forced trade, and offered the same one, but they still do not accept the trade. I've never had this issue in ant of the past versions of the gameComment

Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread
Contract relief. Both are negative value at this point. You might be able to make Markakis look better buy adding a young piece to him for a team pushing for the playoffs at the break but he's going to have to be raking. Even then, it's a stretch."for love of the game" - B. ChapelComment

Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread
You're hanging on to your most valuable pieces (as well you should) so with what you have left over to spend puts you on the low tier market. If you find a diamond in the rough, put it out here and we can bounce but you're probably better off waiting until the off season and buy pitching. There are some decent arms coming up this year.Since it got lost:

I would try the same with the default rosters. I haven't heard of any issues like this with the OS rosters but that doesn't mean there wasn't something wonky with your download. If the default rosters give you the same issue, bluntly, you're doing something wrong or your stuff is broken beyond repair. Don't think I'll make PO with my Mariners chise this year. Time to go young. Would you trade Cano and Cruz.

Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread
Was it unbalanced in player numbers? As it could possibly have pushed them beyond the amount of players they are allowed? Try adding a chump or two from their side to balance the numbers?I've been toying with franchise mode with the release of OSFM17, and have been struggling to get trades to go through. Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread
Update to my other posts: After some tests, I tried the same trade with default rosters and got it to go through. The trade was Ervin Santana and Taylor Rogers for Rafael Montero. I went back to OSFM rosters and tried same trade and they wouldn't accept. Tried again and this time turned on force trade, and it didn't work. Tried many other trades with other teams and the first one I got to work was the 2 players for Dodgers Scott Kazmir. Then I went back to Mets trade and kept adding many other scrub players that wouldn't have a huge effect on the trade interest and they still decline.Attached FilesComment

Would the trade have taken you below the minimum number of pitchers on your roster?Update to my other posts: After some tests, I tried the same trade with default rosters and got it to go through. Re: MLB 17 Trade Discussion Thread
My only guess would be that they can't afford it due to Santana $13m contract, but in the past it would tell you that rather than just not workUpdate to my other posts: After some tests, I tried the same trade with default rosters and got it to go through.
