Riley has questions about his bat speed, and has defensive questions that likely move him off of 3B and either to LF playing slightly better defense than Matt Kemp or becoming a 1B.

Here is his scouting report from Eric Longenhagen:

"Riley began the year struggling with any sort of velocity and then improved the timing of his footwork, quieted his hands and started hitting. Late in the year, he was turning on plus velocity. He has plus raw power (at least) and has improved his body composition since high school (when he was a heavy 230). But at just 19, with some general stiffness to his actions, Riley is pretty likely to kick over to first base as he matures. The adjustments he made last year were encouraging, but reports from late in the year indicate some vulnerability on the outer half, and it’s going to be difficult for him to clear the offensive bar at first base with his current contact profile. He was up to 94 on the mound in high school, so if he can have passable range and actions at third, the arm might keep him there for a little while."

That isn't the report of someone who can headline a deal for a top of the line pitcher. And look at the Lucroy deal for what it takes to get an upper end catcher. They're expensive
Hes the one brave prospect i wasnt sure on. And not necessarily looking for top end catcher, but someone young and up and coming to fit in with this young team
Oakland A's - Seattle Mariners - Detroit Tigers
Pittsburgh Steelers - Green Bay Packers
    Detroit Red Wings

Even though Atlanta has a great farm you can't get either of the things you asked about with a kid outside the organisation's top 10 and not a top 100 prospect as the headliner. You're gonna have to part with your upper end prospects to get either a top of the line pitcher or a young up and coming catcher

Realistically, where do people see Dozier ending up and what do they get for him? The Dodgers are almost certainly out of the equation now and the Braves went for Phillips, so who is left that really wants a powerful, right handed second baseman for 2 years?

Who are some targets you would want that fit either and we can try to put some deals together. But if you ask for an Ace, Albies has to be involved

More so looking for a catcher. Not top end. But young with decent contact that would mesh with the young team

Yea that's a good idea. I'll see who needs a middle infielder and see if I can get a middle relief guy back.

On TalkingChop there are a few of us that like a Newcomb for Swihart swap. I'm sure there are other young catchers out there but I'm drawing a blank right now

So I decided on the brewers instead of the rockies franchise, I fell in love with the the park and alternate jerseys. The only thing is I don't like Braun. Is Braun to the dodgers for ethier and trayce Thompson an alright trade?

I jokingly offered Braun for Cespedes, and they accepted it. I was happy to have the cannon in the outfield.

That's a completely unrealistic trade. So you can do it if you'd like, but it wouldn't work for the purposes of this thread

So I'm sure people are having the same problem I had. Andrew McCutchen is totally unwanted by teams for prospects. I couldn't get him to Texas for Gallo and Kela with Glasnow (73 A) and Hanson (70 A) even though it said they were extremely down to do the trade on the trade meter. When I went to propose it, it said we are interested in this trade, but not quite what we are looking for right now. Adding Kingham (60s B) instead of Cutch did the trick, but it was kind of surprising they wouldn't take that massive haul for Gallo with McCutchen (considering Hanson is ridiculously rated in this game).

Eventually I traded him and Bastardo to the Yankees for Hicks and Pineda because I absolutely love Pineda in the Show and think if hes put in the right spot he could really excel. I plan on resigning him at the end of the year.

So it's April, about late May early June I want to try and add Rajai Davis back into the fold. So two questions I suppose.

1st: I have never liked Austin Jackson, do you think Oakland would be interested in a package around him for Rajai?

2nd: If they would not be interested in Jackson at all, what would I need to put together to net Rajai?

Bonus question: If the Athletics wouldn't be interested in Austin Jackson where/what should I be looking for?

                              Thanks,
                              HCP
As someone who is going to tackle the A's this year, I am very interested in doing business on Davis. I also have no interest in Jackson but we could probably put our heads together and find a home for him after we do this deal.

How attached are you to Y. Diaz? I'm not in front on my console so I don't know how we have him rated in game so if I've priced myself out of the market, we can talk about G. Mejia (assuming he made it to the OSFM roster) and a decent farm hand I can look to add to my bullpen next year. You didn't give a slash (plus SB's) for Davis but I can assume he's getting the job done (or will be when you trade for him).

The A's need athletes and will be willing to move on from Davis as he's pushing 37 and is a rental. Giving you lots of rope here as I recognize your user id and know you can value players just as well as the rest of us.
