Does anyone else agree?

So the show is easily my favorite sports game and so many of the features announced made this sound like the best iteration yet. Let me preface by saying I've had the game since Saturday. In that time, I have seen zero "cat and mouse" gameplay, stealing bases against the AI is nearly the same as 16. Throws are smoother but I don't see guys jogging nor do I see fielders appropriately timing throws. Lastly, while there is more hit variety, fielders still run down most balls. The game just feels too much like 16. Does anyone else notice anything different?

I think you're going to be in the minority here. '16 vs '17 to me is like comparing PS2 to PS4. Perhaps an over-exaggeration but yea.

I think you're incorrect on this as well. I've seen several grounders just in the few games that I've played that would've been infield singles in '16 but now I get thrown out.

I've had several doubles straight over outfielders heads that without the new ball physics would have been caught.

I do think some sliders should be tweaked maybe one or two clicks and will be playing around with that. But overall I think it's a huge step in the right direction.

I'm sorry you don't feel that way and hope that your opinion changes.

thats no over-exaggeration, when the show first came to the ps4 I didnt feel like there was that big a jump and I could have probably stayed with the ps3 Show for another year but I pulled the trigger anyway. 17 I finally feel buying the ps4 is justified, what, 4 years later?
And I've only been playing 17 for about an hour, hour and a half. I've only scratched the surface, if that.

I was getting throws over to first a lot with Elsbury on base, pitch outs, slide steps....got picked off too.

And we had this cat and mouse on 16 as well. No doubt we did.

This year the game has taken a leap in AI as well......incredible.
