I'm out. After yet another game that works all the way until the penultimate mo ent when it should count my stats and then the server takes a dump.
Up until today I was relatively calm, taking the bad with the good. But after wasting the entire evening on playing and replaying the same missions, but with increasingly worse results, and making zero progress whatsoever, the game has become more frustrating than it is fun.
And I play games for fun, and have many more that can provide me more entertainment. It's a shame. Maybe I'll be back in a month or so, but most likely I wont.
And I know for a fact that I will not be buying The Show 18. Not on day one, not ever.
I'll just wire that money directly to MLB for their live streaming service.
At least tonight, I am still enjoying Suntrust Park. On my phone.

Well the stupid game is stuck in the items rewards menu in franchise mode trying to give me a stupid ****ing reward. Even in offline mode I have to be connected? What BS is this.

This launch and their lack of detailed communication has been a lesson on how to burn up your goodwill with a dedicated fanbase (SimCity). I really expected more, especially after they focused solely on PS4 this year. As someone who has spent many years in SWQA (including 7 in console gaming) I'm curious if their QA team is onsite, at Sony HQ, or overseas. I was at EA when they offloaded most of their qa to Spain/Argentina, and the results were predictably bad. I can sympathize with server issues, because without a public beta, it's hard to test under extreme load (though they should have been better prepared after last year). But the glaring bugs in the standard game modes and delays in patching a first party title is shocking.

It seems like they've gone mostly quiet on social media and I've seen the most amount of interaction scrolling through their bug report section. I don't want to complain too much, because I know the hard work that goes into making a game is often overlooked and the amount of hours you pour in is hard to fathom unless you've been through multiple 100hr work weeks, but in the end, your product is your product. Im not frustrated because I hate the game I bought, i'm frustrated because I love be playing the game, but there is so much that isn't right

Yep servers fully down again, just finished a full 9 inning game finishing the Ricky Weeks 2 SB and Double along with a few other player missions, and immediately dropped to main title screen with an error. Game is complete garbage this year.

What is the point of having offline modes when they only function connected online.

Same exact thing with me. And I don't want the stupid frickin' "reward" -- most likely a 55 OVR scrub for a mode I don't touch anyway -- I JUST WANT TO BE ABLE TO SAVE MY FRANCHISE AFTER A GOOD GAME THAT TOOK ME 40 MINUTES.

Until now, these server issues haven't affected me at all, but if I just wasted 40 minutes playing a game that won't save I will be contacting SDS for a refund.

I've said it several times in several threads: they are screwing with people's time, and time never returns. They must be held accountable.

You won't get a refund. Not trying to be negative but the best you can hope for is they fix everything 100% and the in game reward they give is really good.

What is the point of having offline modes when they only function connected online.

You don't need to be connected online for offline modes to work. You can disconnect from the internet prior to starting the game and play offline modes just fine.

I'll say it again. Should be an offline game. They have online modes that generate income and it's killing the game for people who don't even want to play online or buy packs. It's an awful look.

Yes you won't get any rewards for playing but you can play the game without it potentially locking up afterwards

I guess I will do this from now on. Does franchise save before the items rewards screen or after I forgot. I think I basically just lost my game at this point.
