I like retro mode alot. it's easy to pickup and play. I wish it had a season. And my kids can easily play it too. And they think baseball is too slow.

BUT

There is 'another baseball game' on the market (for the last 3 years) that offers the same mode and you can play a season. But for some reason MLB THE SHOW 17 is so much more fun than that other game. I thought the other game was decent but it got old and repetitive fast so I probably won't pick it up this year. I'll just play retro mode in the show season or no season.

Assuming we get no patch for a season or tourney option, how would you do a pencil and paper league using this mode?

the developers missed the point of this mode

the best thing about this type of retro mode game is to play against a friend but not to have this online is basically a waste of the mode for the majority of us

put this online where people can play their friends... other wise hardly no one will play this that much

this mode would probably of been a major hit online playing head to head

this mode is at it's best against another human but like someone else said most people do not live at home with brothers or friends who can play against them often..

this mode basically needs to be put online.. that's all

I have heard a lot of people say they would like to see Franchise or Season Retro mode. I personally would not. I think that would be a waste of time and resources. Playing the CPU in retro mode would get extremely tedious over time.

I do, however, think online head to head would be good. Because it's definitely fun playing a friend or another user. But that's about it.
