Cardinals because they are my favorite team but I'll wait until OSFM to start that one. In the mean time I'm doing one with the O's (my favorite AL team) and playing rtts and DD to get my money's worth out of the game.

The San Diego Padres. I always go through and find a bad team to try to build up and the Padres fit the bill, as they do most years. It doesn't hurt that their First round pick this past year, Eric Lauer is a guy that I've seen pitch many times here at Kent State, I've actually had the honor to call a few of his games as well.

One of the reasons why I love The Show is because I don't have a favorite baseball team. I love the sport, but never really had a team I rooted for.

Each year I play with a new team and I find that the most exciting part of the game. This year i am going with the Braves. They made some nice off season moves and I love their division. Should be fun!

I try to start an AL, NL, and fantasy franchise.

My AL team is set for when OSFM drops. I am going to use the ChiSox. Strange team, not good, but not horrible. Good prospects, good vets, but holes to fill. Lots of different directions one can go there...

NL team, not sure...so many fun options. Again, will start after OSFM drops.

The fantasy franchise will be started very soon using a non-OSFM roster. Thinking about incorporating Legends (if that is an option)....just make this a complete free-for-all....put together a roster and have some fun. Trying to decide whether to let the CPU autodraft my team (which I have enjoyed on Madden) or picking my own roster...

Indians because they are my favorite team. I plan to play all 162 for the first time ever by using critical moments option.

I think I'll play one game with quick counts on, and critical moment the next and so on.

So it sounds like most of you just play with your favorite team. I get too emotionally invested in the players and refuse to move any of them

I also love the Padres ball park so they are intriguing. I'm a mess... I can't decide...

1) That is the reason why I can't use any other team. I've tried other franchises but I have no connection to them that I get bored and can't continue and start over.

2). Petco is awesome. If you wait till OSFM, the minors are stacked. You still have to wait a few years (IRL) for the prospects to be ready, but the lower minors are loaded.

Hmmm...probably the Padres, Phillies, or Brewers..a team that needs help. I'm a die hard Cubbies fan but rebuilding teams is so much fun

Cubs, because I'm a Cubs fan. It's just a question of whether or not I Fantasy Draft with the bad AI or take the as-is Cubs roster and gut the players I don't want around from the team. I also really wish they made an effort with contracts and payrolls in Franchise. If the Cubs are sitting at a real-life payroll around $170 million and Miguel Montero is making $14 million of that, why does the game give Montero a measly $3.5 million of a $120 million budget? I'd like accuracy on this stuff. My interest is in doing the dirty work of management, and these deflated contracts kill such endeavors.

Last year was the first time I got The Show since like '08 I kind of puttered around with OSFM rosters and my Twins. This year I am restarting my Twins Dynasty that I had running for like 6 years on MVP '05. Gonna blow that S**t up, dumping anyone who's worth anything and not named Buxton or Mauer(no trade clause) Hopefully after another crap year I'll have Berrios, Mejia, May, Gonsalves, and maybe Jay about ready to start doing something. Until then I'm going to get really familiar with losing.

On the bright side I'll get the first pick in the draft...

I'd keep Sano, too.

I'd keep Sano, too.

I like Sano, in game especially. But he, Dozier and Santana are my biggest trade chips. I may hold on to him but it depends on what I could get for him.

I usually go for rebuilds in franchise modes (MLB, 2K, Madden). I'm the not biggest baseball fan, but some of the teams I'm looking at when OSFM drops are the Rays and Padres primarily, also the Marlins, White Sox and Rockies.

I'm using the Boston Red Sox, because I'm from New England.


I've tried several other teams before, only once did I make it through all 162 with them, and I was playing all the Red Sox games in the same file so that was the reason I even did it.


So instead of switching and changing my mind 60-80 games into the season, I'm just going to use Boston.
