This is why I stopped playing defense in RTTS. I wonder what % of the small number of users went back to RTTS after this option was removed.

They did this with the '1st Person' camera last year aswell.

"oh, not enough people use it, so screw the people that actually do. that one extra option for people is just the worst. better get rid of that."

Infuriating mindset. Maybe eventually our bats will glow like lightsabers just incase we lose them.
