Secondary positions/utility guy option?

I always disliked the preset options given for secondary positions depending on player's primary position.

I was wondering (as I do not have the game yet)...has this improved? For guys like Jose Ramirez or Ben Zobrist. Can I manually select any and all positions I say a player can play? If I want to put my OF to having Catcher as secondary position can I do this? I know you wouldn't, but I would like to manually say for example, Jose Ramirez came up as 2B. But I want to choose for secondary 3b, ss, lf and rf. Can I do this?

All I can say is be careful when editing players that have multiple positions listed as secondary.

That's a bummer. And yeah I know editing messes it up cause you can't get back to original secondary positions listed.

In the game Jose Ramirez is 3B with secondary positions of 2B, SS, and LF.

if they added 2 more in 18, I'd still want 2 more added in 19

I can see why they don't want to add more secondary position options but that's kind of the whole point of the show isn't it? Why allow people to edit player attributes or force trades in franchise, it's the same thing in my opinion. It's all about giving the user full control over our little baseball world, I would love to be able to edit player quirks as well.

Player quirks u can edit some how, there is only no way to edit night/day time player. But many quirk are attribute based. Is there no more the player that have all other position as secondary? Was in 15 or 16

I would love to be able to edit player quirks as well.

about 3/4 of the quirks are 'editable' as they are attribute driven
thats a good start for the first year

Yeah but these "new" ones are a given and should've been in the game since 09. Just make it fully customizable and it's solved. Obviously player attributes factor in playing other positions which this game already does a great job showing.

I remember how 2K individualized it all. You got a rating at each positon. So, you would probably see something like Jose Ramirez rated as a 100 (basically, % of defensive ability, I think) at 3B and LF, then maybe 95 at 2B, 85 at SS, 70 at RF, 40 at CF, 20 at 1B, and 10 at C. There really are a lot of places MLB 2K exceled that I have been unpleasantly surprised to see The Show struggle at, given a decade of being told how much better this franchise is in every way.

Still, this game's core is so much stronger, I just wish they could get the VC crew and tools they used to make up the intricacies of The Show. This game with 2K's pitching mechanics would be just about perfect.

This has to start becoming a must for us to be able to edit, they can do it themselves so why can't we/?

now that SS are becoming the new CF. more and more players are playing multiple positions.. I guess the excuse is for online players cheesing or whatever
