Almost as much negative as there is positive.

I got to just say for a game that is getting so much praise around here there sure is a lot of complaints to match those praises. Too many home runs, To much slicing of the ball down the line, worse bat sounds then in 16 and so on.

I just find this very interesting

I am definitely not saying 17 is perfect far from it but personally I do not see issue with any of the above am I the only one?

I think MLB The Show is fantastic!

I haven't played it yet but I assume things like too much slicing down the line is only a complaint because ball physics are in our heads right now. But like I said I haven't had a chance to pick it up yet so that's just a guess

The only issues I have with the game is Too Many Hrs and little glitches like the clip where the bats automatically swaps to the batters opposite hand as he walks back to the dugout after striking out and the weird graphical glitches on the MLB network OSD.

I did a fair amount of belly aching last year but I love this years game. I too have the too many HR problem but thats what sliders are for and almost every sports game ive ever played has needed slider adjustments.Weve been spoiled by the show because slider adjustments havent been necessary for most people before.
I also have minor other bugs but the good far outweigh the bad this year. Catchers dont rocket out of their stance. Bunts arent ridiculous. Still havent seen the dreaded squeeze play by the cpu like last year. I can gladly deal with the few oddities ive seen this year so far.

The only real problem i have is SOTS being broken but i know it will be fixed asap.
Im definetly looking on the brightside this year. Love the game.

Probably the most excited i have been for a Show release, but there are a lot of problems with it.

          - Performance on OG PS4 is terrible in RTTS with massive frame drops when fielding.

          - CAP is extremely underwhelming and my guy from last year looks way better. Plenty of glitches with CAPS as well, Shrunken Head glitch is still in the game. My imported player from last year has his eyeballs bulging from his skull.

          - 90 percent of my Fielding opportunity's are catching steals

          - Tons of janky looking animations this year, constantly seeing pitcher opening and closing their jaws frantically on the mound. Check Swings look really strange. Everything looks jittery.

          - New Bat on Ball physics coupled with Quirks has caused tons of imbalance, and the game is even more Arcadey than previous years. Been hitting tons of 500 plus homers on All-Star with players not known for power.

          - I wont even get into the state of servers/online as I except that pretty much every year.

Obviously I don't say this to discredit anything you just said. But I've not experienced a single one of those issues. I'm playing on the OG PS4 and haven't experienced any frame drops. I'm making a new cap but my cap from last year still looks great. Only thing that changed was his hair and sideburns. I play 3rd and OF so maybe that's why but I've only seen one steal attempt through 28 games. I haven't seen the pitcher animation issue you mentioned at all. I know some people are experiencing HR issues but I'm playing my 3B as a defensive marvel with a mediocre bat and to date, I've only hit two HR's through 28 games.

I'm not saying the game doesn't have issues. I just find it strange that some are experiencing so many while others aren't.

THIS! (in bold) Is there a way to fix the eyes?
I imported a whole team of CAPs and they all look CRAZY!

I think the game has just grown into a monster the development team can't handle anymore. They created an insanely intricate and complex system to replicate real baseball and it's just too much for them to build on and test thoroughly every year.

Basically, they need more people on their dev/testing team. I'm available if you need me, guys.

That's an interesting point. I know that the development team work their tails off, but it would probably only take a handful of people who actually play regularly to tell them what seems off. The things that are bothering me were obvious within an hour or two of starting the game up. My advantage is that I've been playing basically nonstop since the release of '16, almost ever day, but the devs are too busy developing the next game to become as intricately familiar with it as some of us do.

Yea, it's complicated though. They have to change complex pieces of code that influence other pieces of complex code.

Also, there's the balance of making the game for hardcore players and casual players. Which modes are more important for their purpose.. For their income..

Maybe I'm reading it wrong, but my universal profile states I have played 64 games and that I average .58 hits a game, but my highest is 15 from the first game I played???

I've played 2 full games against the CPU, 2 online games, and maybe 1-2 innings of 4-5 other games. Not really sure where they are getting 64 games from.
