Did they fix the bug on carry overs that changes the names and colors of some players?

I went through the rosters and I didn't notice anything out of place. Players that are no longer active in baseball have their names changed, but that is to be expected.

Jose Fernandez and Yordano Ventura have their names changed but kept their attributes and stats.

That's a big if, and I think the O's make for a classic choice because they could go either direction. Much rather see folks trying teams like this than the usual rebuilds over and over.

I'm doing a carry over until the OSFM rosters are ready. Once they are, I'll start a new one. But for now I get to enjoy the new Franchise and test drive it for a bit. Seems they did a good job as well.

But man '17 feels really fresh and new for me. So I have decided to start over this year. I was going to run a Padres Franchise to, because I have always wanted to do a re build in this game and I never have. But I decided to NL teams was a little ridiculous, so I went with the O's. Not really a re build yet, but not really a contender either. A lot of age and if I decide to shop Mochado who knows what could happen,

I chose the Giants. Like the Os I think they are at a point where you can go either way. Lots of good talent, but aging. Going with the play 1 Sim 5 to go deep. So after the first season or two we will see where we are at.

Question about carryover saves. Say I just finished my 2018 season and move into the 2019 season. Will the schedule be the same with interleague games or will it reset to the brand new 2017 real life schedule.

I'm not sure about that, but in case it helps: I can confirm that if you're still in 2016 and then advance to 2017, you WILL have the 2017 schedule which is great!

My advice--if you're playing carryover, don't get too far ahead of yourself!

If you all can wait a day, which would be Wednesday, I can answer this for you all. My Nationals Franchise would be entering 2022 this year and I can carry it over to see what happens.

Yes I have played every inning of every game, been carrying over since 14. Just felt it was time to start over this year.

Countryboy should be able to answer this too.

                    Re: Carryover or Start Anew?

I have a problem with my carry over. I've yet to actually finish the 2016 season in mine so I finished it in 17, and now every time I go to "view retired players" the game crashes. i theorize that it's because Alex Rodriguez is going into the HOF and the game is having a problem doing that with his replacement player. So, maybe take that into consideration?

                      Re: Carryover or Start Anew?

I personally wanted to carry over my fantasy drafted franchise with the A's. however upon further review and finding out my $724M in avail funds did NOT get transferred over with it... I will be starting over once OSFM com out. This is the first year available funds have NOT transferred. NOT Good... very disappointed in this... was looking forward to having a carry over finally.

hopefully, this is read by the Dev team and fixed for next year... because without finances carrying over year to year... no purpose in having carried over saves... work my butt off to earn every one of those stubs that allowed me to acquire that capital for my franchise...

Are you still in the offseason after the 2018 season? Or have you started Spring Training for the 2019 season?

I haven't started a franchise yet. So was just wondering what occurs. I figured I'd get through 2 seasons until the show 18 drops.

So you're asking if you played 2 seasons on the MLB The Show '17, what year schedule would you get for '18 if you carried over?

I'm sorry I'm confused as to what you're asking.

Sorry for the confusion. I'll be starting a franchise in The Show 17. I'm deciding rather to just complete 1 season or multiple season in 17.

So my question was if I get to the offseason of 2019 on Show 17 and then The Show 18 comes out. When I start the next season will the schedule continue to be same interleague matchups. Or will the schedule revert to the real life 2018 MLB schedule.

                                Ok.

If you are in the offseason of 2019 and have not started Spring Training or Advanced to the New Season, then you should get the real life 2018 schedule when MLB The Show '18 comes out.

                                Hope that helps.
