RTTS - Chances getting called up only hitting?

I'm somewhat new to RTTS. I noticed last night they give you an option to only hit.

I liked only hitting as the games went by quick.

If I don't want to field and don't want to run the bases, does the game simulate this or you just don't get fielding points? And does it hurt you chances in getting called up to MLB?

Not sure on this year, it in past years it's certainly possible. I don't think it puts you at much of a disadvantage.

I've only been hitting as well, Im not sure if there's any negative to not fielding or baserunning but I've been getting a lot of praise for my hitting.
Just be sure to train up your fielding, etc attributes, I neglected them at first and the coach approached me about it.
It's still early for me (just started the 2nd half of my 1st year in AA) and I have yet to up my potential but like I said it's still early.
Fun mode for me this year, usually I don't play it much as I'm a franchise guy.
