The ball physics alone change the entire game. I've been waiting for this game my entire life. Gone are the days where you sit on a fastball and you hit it with your bat that was just a flat wall and it goes opposite field homer all too often. Gone are the days you will get 20 hits on HOF and have 16 singles up the middle. This game actually feels like real baseball.

I was just in a 14th inning affair using the braves in a pitchers duel and it was tied 2-2. I had 2 outs and Kemp came upto the plate and i fell behind quickly 0-2. I worked the count full and fouled off 7 consecutive pitches and i said you know what I am gonna sell out on a fastball here. Let's go for broke. Sure enough, elevated fastball and Kemp drives one deep down the left field line.....I see it slowly dying and i didn't think it had enough....shades of Mark Mcgwire record breaking 62 were playing in my head...."Down the left field line is it enough????" please get out please get out........Left fielder is at the wall and leaps...OH NO don't do it to me!!! Is he really gonna rob me ala Griffey JR!!!!??? It's GONE!!!! After i enjoyed the walkoff I looked at the slo-mo replay and it was literally maybe an inch over his glove....Incredible.

Now onto the Graphics....If you have 4k HDR TV and a Pro....Have you ever seen a more beautiful game in your life? I sure haven't. The shadows and the way the lights and sun just gleam off the helmet is simply jawdropping. Night games with the stadium lights so bright you can't even look into them long and when you hit a fly ball it gets lost in the lights. Its incredible.

I couldn't sleep so I decided to get a game in and of course it went 14 innings and my wife got up and i was marveling over a few different highlights from my 14th inning marathon and she looked at me and said, "why are you smiling at the video game at 5 am its creeping me out...goto bed." Ah, women. Time for bed i guess.

Haha not looking for one....I just felt so giddy I had to say how I feel. I see so many complaints on here about bugs and what not. Every game in 2017 is going to have bugs at launch. I buy sports games for the gameplay on the playing field. The Show team definitely nailed that aspect this year along with the graphics.

I've Seen tons of complaints here on the moonshot homers. Play HOF or Legend against a good pitcher and lets see these people get all these crazy homers many times a game like they are saying....I think most are playing on all star which might as well be rookie because the CPU dishes up routine meatballs right down the pipe. I've played a handful of games so far on the highest difficulties and I had a 485 footer with Freeman when i sat on a 96 fastball and crushed it, and CPU had a 460 footer with Brandon Crawford in Arizona when i hung a fatty slider. His eyeballs got as big as saucers and he destroyed it. Everything else has been 400 or less on the highest difficulties. I can live with that. The CPU really paints the corners when its a good pitcher on those levels.

I feel like this is the first year of a new generation for the Show. Ball physics and how the ball reacts off a round bat were by far the biggest change they needed to implement and they nailed it. It feels like a completely different game to me and I skipped last year after buying 08-15 religiously. It got so stale to me, i kinda lost hope.

You could compare it to Maddens OL/DL interaction. Could you imagine if Madden fixed that and made it realistic OL/DL interactions? The game would fix itself. It would be a whole new game and 100x better. Unfortunately, I'm not sure we will be seeing that anytime soon. Been waiting about 12 years for that one.

and just think what this game will look like going further. since this is their first year working with 4k, now from here on out, its going to be even better.

but ya, the ball physics them selves are a complete game changer. BUT i will say and i am not 100% sure on this, but possibly the Weather needs a little tweaking if this is the case because i tend to see a lot more balls just hang in the air and go over the wall. for example, i played a h2h ranked seasons game yesterday and the opponent was using bautista and i threw a pitch way off the plate and the guy managed to just get the edge of the bat on the ball and it carried all the way over right field wall, like it literally would not come down.
