Should my game take 16 hours to download?
I began downloading the game 2.5 hours ago and it's downloaded 1.73 GB. This is completely not normal, right? It says 16 hours to go and my PS4 has been on rest mode the entire timePhil 3:14

Doesn't seem right. Go to download screen and just pause it and cancel it. Then start it over again is all I can think of

Mine DLed in maybe 25 mins. I have the disc however, don't know if that makes a different.

PSN is quirky, sometimes it's fast and sometimes it's not.
As others said restart the download and go from there.
There are tweaks you can do in your console settings that can help your downloads but really you're at the mercy of the PSN.Comment

Mine downloaded in less than an hour. Maybe even less than half but I bought the disk. I've been told that games download faster from the disk than PSN or XBL.Comment

Re: Should my game take 16 hours to download?
If your DL is slow, it helps to put your console in Rest mode, I have noticed that it speeds up considerably.
Also, it depends on your internet speeds. If you have a slow connection (like 10 Mbps or so), then it is normal to need 10 hours to download.
An average internet speed of some 50Mbps should download the game in 2 hours.Comment

Re: Should my game take 16 hours to download?
I think it's a PS4 loading error. It happens to me occasionally on all of my online applications (not just the show.) The best workaround that I've found is to go into the settings menu of the PS4, go to network, and test internet connection. This seems to reset whatever the PS4 was trying to do and get my download speed up to where it should be.

Do a connection test and see what your internet download speed is. Until you know the speed everyone answering is taking blind shots in the dark."The designated hitter rule is like letting someone else take Wilt Chamberlain's free throws."

Seriously though, my PS4 rarely ever downloads anything in rest mode...I don't get why. Maybe that's it? You can also try rebooting your modem, router and PS4 in that order.Originally posted by Gibson88Anyone who asked for an ETA is not being Master of their Domain.

Re: Should my game take 16 hours to download?
I've downloaded the game but it's still in the "installing" phase aka I can't get passed the tutorial game. Does the game install faster if it's in rest mode? Can I do other things while it's installing or will that delay things?Comment
