    Pitchers only throwing fast balls?

I'm curious if anyone else is getting this weird bug. Whenever I start the game, go into Play Now, and play, the opposing pitcher throws nothing but fast balls. I tried it with both the daily rosters and current rosters, and it still happens. I've tried it using the default sliders, and Armor&Swords sliders (which I normally use anyway), and it still happens. I'm experimenting with different variables to see what actually triggers it. It's very frustrating, especially while waiting for the full minors. I'm tempted to just uninstall the game and reinstall it.

You may need to set your difficulty level appropriately. You may be on Rookie or starting at a the lowest level of dynamic difficulty.

You know what, I didn't think to check that. I was playing around with the difficulty earlier today.

On HOF, Kershaw threw me 9 straight fastballs. I definitely am seeing a ton this year

I have seen the issues with the pitches overall. It seems like the pitchers rely A LOT on whatever their highest confidence pitch is.

I have seen guys throw me 5-6 sliders and changeups in a row simply because I had fouled them off or missed them. It makes it harder to hit some instances. Where normally you sit on a pitch it makes it easier but in this case if you are playing along like a real hitter you expect something else but they keep on with same pitch.

          Might be a bug.

I'm not sure how this would constitute a bug?

If I'm a pitcher and I'm throwing a combination of sliders and changeups and the hitter isn't making solid contact or better yet swinging and missing on the two pitches, why would I throw something else?

The goal of a pitcher is to have the hitter off balance and not allow him to make solid contact. If I can do that with changing speeds and locations of two different pitches then that is what I'm going to stick with, especially if I don't have confidence in my other pitches.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

In real life yes, in the game there is a problem with how it is actually happening.

              1. It is not a combo of sliders and changeups, it would literally be 6 changeups in a row. Even when you are a pitcher and someone is having trouble with a pitch you switch it up to throw them off.

              2. In MLBTS the pitcher confidence gets stronger as the batter fouls off pitches. In real life the batter should get more confident as he sees the same pitch over and over. In MLBTS in theory, a guy could have low confidence on his change up and you foul it off 4 times, the 5th, 6th, 7th time in a row he throws it (he should not even be throwing it this many times) his confidence grew and was able to locate that pitch better than the time before. So his change up the first 3-4 times could have been middle away, by the 7th time he is locating it on the bottom corner of the zone where you can barely reach it, but if you do not swing its a K.

Now the scenario above does not happen EVERY time, but next time you get in a duel where you foul off a lot of pitches take a look at what the last 3-4 pitchers in a row were. More than likely you will notice it was the same pitch type.

I don't know man, I've seen pitchers in real life throw the same pitch 3, 4, 5 times in a row because the hitter was struggling with it.

Guess we'll have agree to disagree on this one.

Not saying it does not happen, but it happens a lot in the game. It could be since I am the one "batting" I notice it more than when I see it on TV, but I do not remember it being this obvious in previous years.

Not a deal breaker, but I did notice it before this thread was opened, so it kinda made me think I was not going crazy!....doubt it though....
