Re: Non-catchers
I played a Spring Training game last week where the CPU used an outfielder to catch because earlier in the game the CPU used all the backup catchers as pinch hitters. Needless to say this out of position outfielder now playing as the catcher allowed several passed balls which ultimately cost the CPU team the game. It was a Spring Training game, so no bigger. I just hope I do not see it again now that my regular season has begun. -

These type of issues discourage me from even starting a franchise mode this year.Red LegendComment

Re: Non-catchers
In-game manager AI still has a lot to be desired, and when non-catcher is put into C, they will generate excessive amount of passed balls.
Fortunately, this doesn't appear to happen that often, andI've only seen this happen just once in over 300-games worth of CPU vs. CPU games so far... so at least the chances we see this might not be that high.
Though I'm not sure what happens when (equally dumb) GM API starts messing with 25-man roster later in a season to carry so few bench players though.
If CPU makes this happen in a critical, do-or-die kinda game in a season, it might be a good excuse to take the game out of console and shatter it into pieces... though those unfortunate souls with digital copies like myself do not have that vent to physically release the frustration. :PComment

Re: Non-catchers
This certainly is not a perfect solution in any way but if you do see this issue in an actual franchise game you can always swap teams and make the sub for the computer, assuming they still have a C on the bench.Comment
