I'm just sick of all my games (DD) going to the queue. They usually process within a few hours, but since 8 PM on Monday none of the five (or so) games I've played have processed.

Not sure if this is because of the patch, but I can't substitute a runner. I'm in my Angels franchise, top of the 9th, facing the A's. Score is 1-0 A's, and I have Cron on first. Can't pinch run for him. Super frustrating.

Edit: saved my game, went to the main menu, loaded it back up, and was able to pinch run. Weird.

I was fine when games went to queue but eventually counted. But now nothing is counting.

I had 7 wins in the bronze event but my 8th win went to queue. Played again and my loss posted correctly. I have no idea whether I should go for the 8th or wait for it to post, if it ever does. I hate this.

It's just not acceptable for multiplayer games to be crippled for weeks at a time.

Battlefield 4 had the worst server issues since the franchise started and wasn't fixed in the first month! Rubber banding all over the maps, I literally stopt playing until a patch came that fixed it.

You've got to compare apples to apples though. Those games are HUGE! I went 10 years without buying (or playing) a single video game and even I still knew the release dates for Call of Duty.

I know people get tired of the "we only have 80 people" thing but it's a fact. This is a baseball game and will never come close to generating the same kind of revenue as even the other big sports games, much less CoD. There is a reason the big studios stopped making baseball games.

I won't comment on the server issues because they haven't affected me, but I assume they are working hard to fix them. It won't happen as fast as it would if it were an EA game but it will happen.

In terms of game play... I think the guys who are saying the game is unplayable is about as silly as the guys who have been to 150 Pearl Jam shows and complain they the band plays "Alive" too much. Put down the controller for a day and take a deep breath. The problems will be fixed at some point.

You have a point, but at the same time that means the server load should be much lower as well and more manageable since the player base is smaller.

From what I've seen from streams, the multiplayer isn't even very smooth when it does work. You'd figure after over 10 years of making this game they'd have better net code, especially since even MLB 2K was much smoother in terms of multiplayer from 2K10 onward.

It's just disappointing since every other aspect of the game is so good. I have friends who would buy this game, but only play multiplayer so I tell them not to bother, which is unfortunate to say the least.

I assume you didn't play GTA 5 on PS3/360 at release.

No, but I remember there being a huge uproar, and rightly so. That's my point. It's not acceptable in this day and age.

Anyways, I think I've said enough about it.

Went to play a offline game post patch, got booted in the 3rd.

Went online, the menu system took over 5 mins (I don't know how long it took in total because I went to pee and grab a bottle of water)

In between the DD menus the game forgot who I was, my EXP was at zero, it said server error, and I had to back to the dash and restart.

I think things are worse now.

This thread is a perfect example of why gameplay doesn't get fixed. Search through the thread and you see people complaining about some teams road batting practice jersey, some other teams matte batting helmet, somebody using a gimmick mode - quick counts - complains it isn't realistic so now they have to spend time fixing a gimmick mode. There is a sticky about socks. The numbers of a uniform weren't the correct height. Last year a few people who must play with metal bats complained the ball on hits down the foul line didn't curve enough like they do with a metal bat - MLB uses wooden bats. Now balls curve foul like a Frisbee in a hurricane. I'm glad they fixed that. The devs have this long list of stuff to fix and gameplay issues frequently never get fixed.

I play manage mode - the purest form with zero human input. CPU vs CPU. Full counts. There isn't enough offense. Not enough hits, not enough runs. That seems like kind of an important thing. When they determine the winner of a game they add up the runs to determine the winner. Call me crazy but it seems to me that's something they would have interest in getting right. I've never heard of socks determining the winner of a game. Are they going to fix it? If I was a gambling man I'd bet they won't.

And how is this post any more helpful? Lets try to be a little more civil to what everybody would like out of the game please. I personally don't see the issues with uniforms and what not. But for some people it is an important issue and it is as valid a concern as any other.

I agree that it's very strange how anal people are about small visual details when there are significant, relatively easy-to-fix gameplay issues to work out. I don't understand how someone can think getting the socks right is more important than in-season contract extensions, but if that's what the fans are asking for, then we gameplay critics need to speak up louder, I guess? I don't know even know how the developers find out what the customers want. What channels do they use to reach out to us?

Contract Extensions aren't a gameplay issue, and is way harder to implement then the correct socks.

Yea but to each their own. For me, I've watched almost every single Angels game for the last 20 years and go to 10 games per season...yet I have no idea if The Show has their socks, jersey fonts, alternate jerseys, gloves, stripes etc all correct. I don't even know if they have stadium details or dimensions correct. Just not my thing. If it looks and plays like a rat, then golly it must be a rat [emoji14]
