Pray! I have tried rebuilds and unfortunately some of your A rated guys aren't going to hit enough to make a difference. Production based progression does not seem to be adjusted for the lower level s of the minors. The game should really adjust the progression expectations. Example:

AA home runs: 10 or more above average
Triple A home rinds: 15 or more above average
MLB: 20 or more obviously above average in today's day and age.

Noways if a prospect hits more Than 10 home runs in AA he is considered a pretty high level power prospect. Unfortunately the game doesn't recognize this and feels your prospects should be hitting 20+ home runs like your big leaguers.

It's mainly my pitching prospects that aren't performing like I need them to, my hitters progress decently!

There might be more randomness franchise to franchise than we realize or give the mode credit for. I'm running a sim/test franchise with Arizona and I have 4-5 pitchers who are in their early 20's, A potentials, rated high-80's to mid-90's. Also have a closer who is 21 and rated a 91. These are without morale adjustments. This is 4-5 years in.

I sim the first game each year with rosters/lineups/rotations all on auto to let the cpu arrange things, then simply make sure that none of my stud prospects are riding the pines in AAA and AA and none are in A. It seems to me that the cpu does better at placing prospects than I would, and it's worked out well.

Online Franchise lacks a lot of the features that Offline Franchise has for example Quirks, players morale etc players do progress but by my experience production doesn't impact players progression on Online Franchise.

Really? Progression is independent of production? Can anyone else who knows for sure confirm this?

                  Thanks for the response!

Yep in Online Franchise they just progress according to their potential, age and level with those in the Bigs progressing faster than prospects in the minors. You can have a player hitting .150 and he will keep progressing until he reaches his potential.

Interesting. Although why wouldn't guys in the minors progress faster than guys in the show? Seems like it should be the other way round to me. You get one of them A potential guys in with a 48 OVR and he'll reach his potential -- AT AGE 34. Then one good year and off the cliff?

In my franchise year 1 Mike Trout is playing lights out and leading the league in all major batting categories. Was super disappointed to see he had two -1's on his ratings page...

How can he already be regressing?

Wasn't this an issue a couple of years back when 25 year old's started regressing?

It's been an issue for years. Trout in particular ALWAYS declines. I simmed about 30 years on 16, Trout by 33 was a 61 overall, fell off a cliff at 28. Harper lasted a lot longer tho, was still batting .280 with 25 homers at 36. Some guys decline early, others don't. But Trout for me has always fallen off in his 20s.

Same thing happens with Harper when he hits 26-27, honestly I think it's just the game saying "I don't want any 99 OVR players". Attributes regress a lot but he still puts up solid numbers. Dumb.

Yeah when I was simming, there was this generated dude Fernando Ramirez who was basically Albert Pujols, got to a 99 at like 26, hit 45 bombs while batting like .310, and regressed. Made no sense. Meanwhile guys who don't do half as well but are like 85 overall, regress.
