Gotta be the other day when I lost my no hitter on a walkoff three run homer in the 9th. I was pitching with Hisashi Iwakuma and I couldn't hit that day so I only mustered up two runs. Going into the bottom of the ninth with a perfect game, and I walk the leadoff hitter Marwin Gonzalez after he fouled 4 pitches off 3-2. Next batter is Nori Aoki and a grounder goes down towards third and Seager lets it get by and it's ruled an error. First pitch to George Springer, goodbye. Those damn Crawford Boxes man.

Playing as the Dodgers vs. Cubs, Hit a HR in the top of the ninth to tie it 1-1. In the 16 inning, they got a lead off triple. I struck out the side with whatever pitcher I had. Can't even remember. Got a lead off double with Gonzalez in the 18th. Next batter walked. Then struck out twice. Pass ball hit catchers glove, and the ball ricochets off the back wall and then towards the dugout on the 3rd baseline. Auto base running sends Adrian to try to score from 2nd base. Thrown out at the plate. The score stayed tied until the 22nd inning, and I finally had to go to bed.

The next day, I continued the game. In the top of the 26th, I got a lead off double AGAIN with Adrian. I then grounded out and lined out hard to third. 3-2 count, got a hit up the middle with Forsythe. Adrian scores from 2nd. I go to the bottom of the 26th up 2-1. FINALLY got that run I needed to end it!! Hell Yeah!!! (Nope, CPU said "hell to da nah!")

Bring in Chris Hatcher. He strikes out the first batter. Addison Russell hits HR. Game tied 2-2. Sub in McCarthy because I'm out of relievers. He gives up back to back singles. Next pitch: ball in the dirt. Runners advance to 2nd and 3rd. Next pitch: Ball off catcher's glove, goes towards left dugout. Runner scores, game over.
I lost 3-2 in the bottom of the 26th on back to back wild pitches!

Aaaaand it happened. A night after hitting 5 homeruns against the Yankees. The opening game of the Cleveland series, I get no hit. So this is now my worst loss.

As the Twins I recently lost a game to the White Sox where my CF Byron Buxton was injured so Max Kepler filled in. Well guys make sure you don't play people out of position. The game was a back and forth battle and Kepler missed a routine fly ball for a three base error in the 11th. The run would score and I would lose by 1.

To make the loss worse...Tyler Saladino went yard 3x in the game. I should've kept the box score and sent him a picture via Twitter or something. The first HR I'm like ahhh well even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then. Second HR was an oppo bomb and I'm scratching my head wondering what in the world is going on. Third HR I said "You gotta be ******* kidding me, Tyler Saladino!? ****!"

He's getting one in the ribs for my virtual pleasure in the next series.

I was up 3-1 with Boston vs NY in my all time roster franchise. Their only run came from a solo shot by Babe Ruth.. Get to the bottom of the 9th with a runner on first two outs. Babe Ruth hit a two run homer to tie the game up to send it to extra innings off Jonathan Pap. Get into the 11 and guess who comes up again?? Yup Babe Ruth solo shot to win the game. Never gave up more than one home run to someone in a game before. Ruth ended with three.

Playing with the Red Sox in Detroit in this year's game I was up 9-1 heading to the bottom of the 9th. I decided to sim the 9th, which I rarely ever do but I was just done with that game. It had been total domination by me to that point. Do quick sim and I see its showing the Tigers celebrating in the dugout and my heart sinks. Yep they scored 9 runs in the 9th to win 10-9. So maybe this game doesn't apply here since I didn't play it out but I was pissed. Then 3 games later I get no-hit at home by Kevin Gausman, who doesn't have a quality start all year IRL. That was a pretty low point in my virtual baseball world

Been playing the MLB The Show game every year since 2012. Now forgive me as I do not remember my worst loss from 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016. You tend to forget these sorts of games. But last night in a MoM Season game I think I may have experienced my worst loss in the six years playing this game. I took the first 2 games of the 3 game series against the Cubs. But in the 3rd game of the series, an afternoon affair at Coors Field, the Cubs gave me two black eyes, a bloody nose and kicked me in the groin numerous times on my way to an 18-8 defeat.

I am not sure what sort of damage to the confidence levels that my bullpen took last night. I will find out later today when the club starts a 4 game series at home against the visiting Dodgers. I managed to keep my closer out of the game and two other relievers managed to pitch reasonably well without giving up any runs. But the rest of the bullpen really got bombed and I am expecting most of my relievers to have little to no confidence for this evening's game. Ouch that hurt.

'14.. Pitching a no-no with The Big Unit, but I couldn't hit ANYTHING in that game.

9th inning, Rickey Henderson hits an inside-out solo shot on a fastball that should have jammed him.

Two on with no out. Now things get weird...Freddie Freeman sacrifice bunts the runners over, so I intentionally walk Kemp to set up the double play. Bases loaded and one out. Believe it or not but the next 3 hitters, Garcia, Flowers and Jace Peterson I believe ALL SUICIDE SQUEEZE!!!!

The Braves walk it off 5-4.

This is an offline franchise vs the CPU and on each bunt my 1st baseman (Will Myers) wouldn't move. (a bug maybe?)

Needless to say I was pissed.

Anyone else have a bizarre loss to share?

This sounds like you really messed up... after Freeman's bunt you have 1 out 2nd and 3rd up by 2 runs. Not a good idea to intentionally walk and then put the winning run on base. At least pitch around Kemp and hope he chases something. And if they suicide squeezed three time?! you should have been able to get out of the inning with them only scoring one run.

I finished the 2017 season having to play a 163rd game for the NL East title against the Marlins. Was up 5-3 in the top of the ninth with Familia closing it out. He gave up a 2-out 3-run homer to give the Marlins the lead and they held on for the win, thus kicking me to the wild card game against the Dodgers. Dodgers promptly put up 3 in the first against Syndergaard, and Kershaw made sure I wouldn't sniff home plate. Went from hopeful to repeat as WS champions to the golf course very, very quickly.

                                Re: Your worst loss?

Just lost a 9-8 game to the Reds in my Cubs franchise. I fell behind 3-0 in the first inning, pushed my way back to a 3-3 tie in the fourth, and then went up 7-3 on a Willson Contreras grand slam. Added another run on a Javy Baez homer to go into the 8th up 8-3.

Carl Edwards gave up 2 in the 8th on 3 hits, but I had Pedro Strop come in to stem the bleeding in just 3 pitches and keep it at 8-5. To start the 9th, I kept Strop in because closer Wade Davis was a little fatigued. I then gave up an inside the park homerun to Billy Hamilton when he hit one off the wall that I misplayed. I called in Davis, who has been lights out with 13 saves and 1 earned run all season. He gets the first out, but then gives up 3 hits as well and allows the tying run to score.

In the 10th, Justin Grimm allowed 1-out double and then a single to make it 9-8. I got the tying run on base but flew out after making good contact with a pitch to lose.

Really fun game even though I lost.
