    Re: Your worst loss?

Happened to my friend a few games ago.
He's the Angels against the Athletics. He's up 5-1 in the ninth.
Brings in Cam Bedrosian for the save . . . a save that would never come.
    Lead-off homer makes it 5-2.
    Next batter grounds out.
    Another jack makes it 5-3.
    Walk.
    Single.
    Can of Corn.
    Two outs, Two on.
    Khris Davis up.
    6-5 loss.

Took a perfect game into the 9th the other day, my first for this season. Into the ninth I am up a measly 1-0, and I walk the leadoff guy. ok I think, no big deal, the no hitter is still intact and I have run roughshot through this lineup, so no biggie. 3-0 count to the next guy, palms are starting to get a little sweaty. Low and behold I mess up the timing of my next pitch. Instead of working around him high and inside, the 2-seamer ends up right in the middle of the plate and he sends it yard.

I tell myself its time to buckle down, REALLY work the counts in my favor and scrape by. No, i strike out 3 times...

      I love this game

Playing as the Jays against the Red Sox after the allstar break in my Franchise.
Up 5-3 in the 8th when Boston promptly hits back to back to back ground rule doubles over Bautista's head in right to tie it, then a bomb to left to go up 7-5.

Kimbrel loads the bases in the 9th with 1 out, then promptly gets me to GIDP.

Side note: I've now got Bautista playing 1st because anyone with ANY speed could have caught 2 out of 3 of those balls to right. ****ty D.

It wasn't a loss, but it had me nervous to say the least. Game 5 of WS against Indians. I'm (Braves) up 3-1 in series and ahead 6-0 in ninth. I got this, right? Bring in Vizcaino to close. However, gave up a double, a walk, a three-run homer, then a solo homer, 6-4. I don't trust the 2 pitchers I have left in pen more than Viz, so I have to leave him out there. (Started Teheran on short rest, so had to go to pen starting in 6th). Get an out, walk a guy, get another out. Then walk another. Winning run at the plate and I was ahead 6-0. Got a popup to end the game, though, but geez they made clinching the WS hard at the end.

I suggest you call up several AAA pitchers with good stamina and put the MLB guys that still have options left in A ball for a few games to get their stamina back.

I play/quick manage every game in a 17/07/94 season, so I see a lotta different stuff. Last year, I FF to the 9th inning and CWS was up 10-2 over TB.
I choose to pitch the bott. 9th inn. Well, .... TB scores 8 runs and ties it up !!!!
CWS wins it by a run in extra innings.
One of the greatest comebacks in history, I suppose ....
