CPU hitters not hitting into shift

It doesn't seam to matter if I pitch strong pull hitters inside or not they always seem to go opisit feild on me and not into the shift. does anyone else have this issue against a guy like Freddy Freeman he either hits a HR or a double opposite feild against me down the line.

I've felt this way in the past but have never looked all that closely at it. My hunch is that it's just confirmation bias and we pay a lot more attention to the plays that don't go our way. I don't think we can reasonably claim that there's game code making pull hitters less likely to hit into the shift.

Yeah I don't shift in this game. If the cpu automatically aligns my fielders into a shift position I move them back. Far too often the cpu hitters hit away from the shift.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

This was much worst in past games, this year its rarely happened to me. Much more realistic.

        They've fixed the problem imo.

I don't feel that the hitters bias makes much difference in the game. I've seen extreme pull hitters constantly push the ball into wide open gaps. Could the pitch speed slider have an effect on this?

Pitch speed slider is visual only

I shift my defense based on the scouting reports, or the tendencies, and then smile with glee when the batter ground exactly to where I had them played. But... there is something important to remember...

You cannot shift Extreme Right with Chris Davis and then feed him a steady diet of pitches on the outer edge, have him take a ball to left field, and complain about the shift.

You have to be smart and pitch to the shift if you are going to make it successful.

And hey, sometimes the ball spins off the end of the bat, or a batter inside-outs it, and it goes the other way, but if you play the Orioles 15 times a season, figure 3-4 AB's per game, and you shift on Davis situationally, you should get a pretty decent return on your investment.

But if you shift for a pull-hitter, you may have to make the risky decision to pitch him to contact, and trust the defense.

I'd say in previous iterations yeah, but this year I've really been using the shift to great success. Maybe you're just unlucky?

If you play with Auto-shift to ON, you'll need to be careful and check your alignment for certain switch hitters.

The first time you have Chase Headley pull a ball against you as a righty, when your team is set up for his lefty spray chart... you'll learn that lesson quickly.
