so im a closer for the blue jays and everything was great, made the All Star team and now im ready for the stretch run...
Apparently my CPU controlled GM made some trades to improve the team, which is awesome and im glad the game incorporates this. However, the cpu traded away the catchers on my team and now they have Cameron Maybin (who is an OF) catching some days and Troy Tulowitski (a SS) catching on others.
SO i come in to shut the door in the 9th, strikeout J.D. Martinez but my "catcher" cannot handle breaking ball pitches so the ballrolls to the backstop and martinez gets to 1st base. They sub in a fast runner, bunt him to 2nd base, the runner gets to 3rd when my "catcher" drops a fastball right down the middle, and then he scores on a sacrifice fly to give me my 1st blown save and subsequent talking to pep talk from the manager.
I wasnt gonna make a big deal of it until i went and checked my teams lineup and pitching rotation. Maybin is the actual starting catcher because my team doesent have a catcher on the roster! so its not a glitch that puts him in the game when i come in or something.
Basically this RTTS career is over. Without a real catcher it is pointless to continue. My only other option is to sim out the rest of the season and hope its better next season. This is a problem, and i hope i posted this concern correctly so it gets seen/heard (the thread with the link where all the comments get deleted had nowhereto post this glitch as like it says).
Also, once i figured out how to equip my player with the equipmentfrom the marketthat i own, i was happy with the game forthat. However i equipped a wrist guard, but being as pitchers 1)arent aloowed to wear wrist guards or bands or anything like that and 2)look dumb as hell pitching with a wrist guard, i unequipped the wrist guard from the equipment menu. However, some sort of glitch happened to where unequipping the brand name wrist guard immediately equips me with the default brand wrist guard. ANd since he is a pitcher, there is no option in the edit screen to remove a wrist guard, SO NOW IM STUCK WITH MY CLOSER LOOKING LIKE A LOSER WITH A WRIST GUARD! Sorry to yell but it sucks cause i had high hopes for this RTTS but now it looks like im gonna delete him.
