What am I doing wrong? Hitting

I have been playing the show since 08, never had issues hitting once I got used to the game. This year though something seems....different? I am not sure but I cannot hit this year at all, through 15 games I am last in almost every category, odd thing is I often see Great timing and green PCI, but seems every hard hit ball is right at someone and almost always a DP when a guy gets on. I am using just analog hitting as I always have. Did they change timing or something this year? Never had issues any other year.

I understand your pain. I find (and I am probably wrong) that unless you use zone you're basically rolling a dice. Assuming you don't flat out miss or swing very early/late. So I counter this by increasing human solid hits slider to 10 and I decrease power to 1. I play on HoF so if there is a decent pitcher on the mound I still strike out a fair amount and bad games I'll get 1-4 hits and good games I'll get 8-10. Really good games I'll get 13 or more.

I still see plenty of fastballs down the heart of the plate that I popup over the mound, but I personally feel that's just input method of swinging. If I switch to zone, a lot of those meatballs are hit hard and an acceptable amount are put into play.

Unfortunately runs are a bit low, meaning I should up power in hopes of more doubles or triples. Runs are scored by going yard but I think that's just the game this year.

What do you put your Contact and timing at. I'm trying to even out my sliders. I have four homeruns on the year through 10. I have one game this year getting more than 5 hits. One the flip side I pitch well get zero walks 7-10 ks from my starter. Every game ive played has been 2-1 3-1 type games no huge run games.

Both at 5. I am trying 4 today, in hopes of a few more misses.

Right now I have contact at 4 timing 5 power 3 solid contact 7 for both me and the cpu. I will probably adjust the sc to 10 and power to 1 like you recommended. How often are you hitting homeruns?

i feel like I'm just awful at hitting and really good at pitching but hopefully I can even it out

Homeruns aren't a huge issue for me with power so low. Or at least it seems it. It's either power or wind. Wind I have at 2. However, again, when I switch to zone they become a problem. I hit around one per game, and if I'm hot I hit as many as 3, but to not hit any isn't rare. I'd say I give up about as many as I hit. Maybe a slight advantage in the cpu's favor, but nothing too crazy.

I have this issue on All Star but not Hall of Fame. It sounds insane that you would get more hits on a higher difficulty, but it seemed to work for me.
