Score Ticker vs Score Updates in Between Innings

Although I like the idea of a score ticker, I notice I don't pay much attention to it during the games. So maybe instead of the ticker or in addition to the ticker, we could get an update from around the league every three innings. Maybe to start the 3rd inning , we get full screen updates on the other leagues scores . To start the 6th inning, our league scores and maybe to start the 9th, top performers of the day or division scores. I envision it like how NCAA 14 did score updates for their game.

Thoughts?

Or do people prefer the ticker because it is less obtrusive.

So long as whatever they do to it, its optional to turn on.
I play with the ticker off, I am solidly into my game. No outside distractions. I let Allegri catch me up to date after my game is over. IRL I've always felt out of town scores at stadiums are for the fans in the stands, not the players or coaches on the field or bench. However, the only info that would be useful to me is final scores, so I can decide whether or not I can afford to rest players, but that would only be if I'm in first place late in the season with a magic number of 1.

I turned this on in my season mode and was surprised that the ticker only had scores from the mode itself. not real life. IIRC last year it gave an option to get real life scores while playing. I think they have the same option this year but when I turn it on, it never works. I see the season mode scores instead of real life scores.
