Just curious. I see threads that say "official this thread" and "official that thread"... Wondering, what makes a thread "official"?

if you make the thread before anyone else, that makes it official.if you choose to name it 'official'.
if you make a thread that already exists you risk having that thread locked.
since the name of this thread is official threads, I guess it makes it the mother of all threads lmao

In all seriousness though there are a couple types of Official threads.

Those that have the OS logo before then are started by "employees of OS. The red names you see post. Then you have threads that are started by Mods or long time members of OS and these are usually tagged with Official. The only guideline really is to try an limit the thread count and keep OS organized a little bit.
