While I recommend a more dynamic approach like the posts above, this strategy is still pretty good and you will definitely find success using it.
Like I said about the no influence swing, there is nothing inherently wrong with locking in to one swing type per player, but you are denying yourself the situational benefits of the other swing types. If that's a price you're willing to pay, then hey, you do you.
Like I said before, directional is like gambling. If always betting on black is working for you, then there is no reason to try and incorporate the more advanced game theory, especially when the inventor of that theory is telling you there is no guarantee that it's going to work out better.
