Doesn't sound all that different to me, seems like there is a reverb/echo effect, i get the same effect when the ball hits the catchers glove.

Awesome.... maybe there was an attempt here to enhance the sound that just didn't go as planned. Either way.... good to know it's being returned back to what we had eventually.

Come on guys, there's a simple work around for this until it's fixed:

Just have someone sitting behind you hitting off a tee whenever you make contact.


Easy.

I was thinking about Bull Durhams radio broadcasts when they are on the road.....and getting that bat stick noise maker they had to emulate the bat hitting the ball as they got play by play from someone over the phone and relayed it to the announcer and he would then strike the bat with a stick....LOL.

I am glad we can all sit around and have some humor with this now.

Next update better be next week then. I have been buying this game for 9 years now and a launch has never gone this terribly before.

I remember MLBTS 12 having plenty of little issues. It was the most ambitious release yet at that time IMO with ball physics being introduced for the first time.

And it took two good game play patches to get thing silky smooth. 15 also had some real online issues.

I just think the internet is getting louder and louder each and every year. Just my opinion of course.

Booted up last night and with my surround sound, and was totally expecting to hear broken bat sounds on every hit. But they sounded ok to me, maybe a little quiet. Wonder if anyone has taken video and compared it to footage from pre 1.04? I don't doubt it happens, just curious to what degree it is noticeable.

The good news is i dont notice it too badly on my surround sound. The bad news, its absolutely horrible, almost not wanting to play bad, on my headphones. Unfortunately 90% of my gaming is on headphones while my wife sleeps.

I saw a lot of post in the impressions thread people had issues with the new bat sound. But I am personally tying to avoid patches until the last release. When the last patched for MLB 16 was released the game felt really stable. But some times small things change with out and announcement so I am staying away for now considering I play offline.

Not sure if its completely possible but I am going to try to avoid patch issues by using the latest PS4 copy game to external drive feature. That way if there is a issue's like this I can revert back to the previous version.

How do I go about reverting back to version 1.03? I have a disc copy...

That is exactly what I did as soon as I heard it in the first game I played post patch. I went and watched a video I had saved from last week or so (before the patch) and it definitely sounds different and worse
