Patch question? Don't want to screw up my franchise

I posted this in the patch thread also but I'm about to start the NLCS in my franchise it's a second year carryover where I've played every pitch so I have a lot of time invested. This patch may be okay or maybe not but I'd just like to keep things where they are for now. My question is, is there a way to finish this season without downloading the patch? I think my patches have always downloaded automatically. I was on taking BP against Kershaw this morning and I hope it hasn't already installed.

Disconnect your PS4 from the internet

Thank you, I figured I'd need to do that but is there a way to stop automatic downloads so I can reconnect to the internet for other uses until after my postseason? Or in case it has already downloaded is there a way to uninstall it. I won't be able to check until late tonight. Im sure this is a dumb question I just don't know. Thanks for any help.

I think there's a way to stop automatic downloads but I'm not in front of system to remember how to do it.

Not sure about uninstalling a patch

So I stopped automatic downloads but any when I game it up the patch still starts downloading. I go to the download and cancel and delete it then go back into the game and it begins downloading again. Would I be correct to assume that any time you are connected to the internet and game up The Show that it looks for available content and still automatically downloads it? If it downloads does that mean it will automatically install? Once again sorry if these are simple questions I just don't want to change anything right here in the middle of my postseason.

I thought turning off automatic downloads would prevent this from happening.

Best advice I can give to 100% be sure the patch doesn't download is to disconnect to the internet.
