Just popping in for my third contribution to this thread, just thought of something.

SDS let's us set the time of year and start time in exhibition, and we can still control the weather in Franchise, but not the temperature. I'm sorry SDS, I hate to bash on you, but after years of suffering comically inept temperatures in Toronto (57 in early August on a sunny day? You really do think we live in igloos don't you?) I don't trust you anymore. Please let us set the game time temperature.

Some Cubs jerseys besides those in 1902 and those in the 80s or later. They had their futility but come on, they had some decent uniforms in the 40s and 50s. I'd be willing to pay for some DLC to see some different uniforms but Cub uniform has always been weak IMO. Kills me to say I prefer the clean classic look of the Cardinals but also Dodgers, Royals, Tigers and a few others. Not a big fan of pinstripes.

Base running is absolutely atrocious in this game. I'm about to have the CPU control it for me.

I want hot buttons assignable, reprogram-able, and an option of controlling lead runner with

L1 - tap holds in place, pause hold 2 sec to advance past bag to next base, hold down past a bag and release does same, Hold down past a bag and release and tap retreats.

R1 - controls all following runners at once

D-pad to select runners on base instead of joystick.

2 things that I feel need to be looked at for next year. the first is user dives in the infield when you hit the dive button your fielders have no awareness of where the ball is and just dive over it. With new ball lines with hitting this needs to be addressed. the second is player awareness and urgency on relay throws and after am out at a base the player takes for ever to get the ball on relays and throw they need a quick release. While on outs at bases the first baseman will delay forever before throwing home.

1) I like playing a quick season mode w/default rosters but I do not like the fact that fictional players are free agents. So I overwrite those players with players that have a zero attribute rating across the board. I wish there was an option to remove those players w/out having to spend time overwriting.

2) players maximum age increased from 45 to 48
Think Jamie Moyer, Phil Niekro, Hoyt Wilhem and Julio Franco.
for historic clasic rosters.
this isnt anywhere near as important to me as 1) but it seems like it would be easy to do.

Always surprises me how many people seem too care abut tiny details when there is so much fundamentally that needs improving.

Get the gameplay right, get the servers right. If after that you still have time left over, yeah go ahead and change the colour of the stitching on the Cubs 4th alternate uniform and change the font on a tiny sign 450 feet away from homeplate at Fenway Park. Or even better, spend more than 2 minutes n franchise mode.

One thing I would like, and I think it would add to the realism and atmosphere.

Scoreboard watching.

While in a playoff race, a team watches the scoreboard of their opponents. Now if you simulate a game that is later than yours on the day, you see the full the box score, and already know the outcome, so during the game, when you get "updates" in the ticker, you already know how it will play out.

I think the results of the simulated game should be hidden, giving the user that is playing the game, a little more sense of the atmosphere.

I wish they would stop double clutching and tapping the glove before they throw it.
It's so bush. When I was young and played Short and 3rd my dad gave me some good advice he told me throw it to first base the same way every time don't adjust to the speed of the runner just fire the ball every time the same way consistency.

It's been mentioned, but I'll put my vote in for editable coaches/managers. If you can do it with the players to make the game as real as possible, you should have the same option with fake coaches.

I love this idea I would love to put Casey Stengel in there

I would love to see a classic franchise 154 Game season 16 teams 8 in the National League 8 in the American League. All created players. No forced Trading. Player numbers don't change you pick the number and then choose default for that number and that number is Frozen. Baggy uniforms.
I would love to see the 1955 Brooklyn Dodger home and away uniforms? I would love to see this Cincinnati redlegs from the 50s and 60s with cut-off sleeves I would really love to see the Milwaukee Braves uniforms with an M or a B on their hat.
Create a batting stance create a classic Stadium name that Stadium have that Stadium announced. Create managers and coaches have their names announced in the game. The Stirrup socks of the 40s early 50s need some work they're too short in the front you can't see the white because of the cleats bring them up a little bit maybe 3 or4 inches. more names many more names Yastrzemski would be a nice name spell it different pronounce it the same whatever you need more Polish names. Add middle names and nicknames like "Stan the Man Musial" Allow us two attached lifetime records for each created player.
This is a wonderful game and I'm just enjoying the heck out of it these are some of my thoughts thank you very much

I never could figure out how to get the guy on first base to steal second base when there's a Man On Third here's a simple idea let us push the zero button on the right twice that will set up our man on first take his lead and automatically steal second base on the next pitch.

Just point the Left analog stick to first base and press L2 it's really not that hard...
