Manual training(franchise)
Does anyone actually train their players manually or just leavr it set to auto? Do you notice any added benefits if you do it yourself? Was considering it but thought I would get some opinions first.

Re: Manual training(franchise)
I manual train select players if they have a select weakness that desperately needs to be dealt with or I have a specific plan for them.
For example, I recently made the decision to stop trying to balance out a prospects stats and instead just maximize his hitting. I've now decided he's a future DH, who will be able to take the field on occasion when needed.
Auto will keep training his fielding stats, but they are already good enough for a once a week replacement. So I use manual to continue to focus his growth on batting.
Auto will balance out your prospect, so you only need to use manual in order to min/max, or if your prospect has one obvious stat that needs extra attention (auto will switch up training regardless of an obvious need every two months or so). -
Re: Manual training(franchise)
That being said, I just make sure my guys aren't being trained like fools and usually manually set all my top prospects' training. Once you set it you can forget it.Comment

Manual training(franchise)
Ok player training. I have a really simple system.
At the start of every month I go through each player and if they are training on areas I want I leave them on auto. If not I manually set them.
Next month. We go through the same process.
Takes around 15 minutes and is part of my monthly tasks in addition to checking player statistics, going around the league and looking at league leaders etc.
Training works well when you are managing it on a month to month basis and just take 15 or so minutes to maximize the feature.
Oh and another thing is I do make sure to change the players training to a different type every month. I never let a player train 2 straight months doing the same thing.

Both training and progression are less clear to me now than they used to be. For example all of my starting pitchers are losing stamina with the exception of a starter I'm using as a long reliever. The guy throwing 3 innings a game is fine but the actual starters are all losing stamina.≡Comment

Re: Manual training(franchise)
The monthly thing is a good idea. I was looking at something like weekly but I think monthly would be better(a little less work and a little more playtime)
