the offline is where the game really shines

Playing online kills the experience but playing offline on hof or legend is the most realistic you can get. Specially using analogs for hitting pitching and fielding.

I'm with you, though I play auto fielding & throwing, classic pitching , and directional hitting and I am loving the game. I play every major league game so I'll probably be dead before I finish a season, but it keeps me so involved in the season and keeps things fresh playing all the different teams. You really experience the variety the game offers

I enjoy playing franchise but I also have a great time playing diamond dynasty.

I have been playing the show since the day it came out in 2006 and not once have I played a game online. All I play is season mode and I play the whole 162 game season. It's the only way I play and enjoy!

offline historic rosters in classic season replay FTW
dont get me wrong, I enjoy todays players but if I couldnt rewind with my childhood heroes,
I probably wouldnt play the Show half as much as I do. Theres just nothing more satisfying than k'ing Mike Schmidt with a bum like Craig McMurtry or Tommy Boggs.

Lay off the pitches and force them to throw strikes that's when you can do your damage.

Offline historical franchise, season, and playoffs. I'll play against CPU in DD. I rarely have a pleasurable experience online. Don't need the pause so some kid can message me some stupid remark. Fantasy all-time draft is cool with the exception of stupid AI logic such as some teams with 15 pitchers. Minor league squads actually have more interesting rosters for all-time play.

Same here. I have never played online, and only play franchise.

I only played offline for the last 5 years and randomly played an online game this year since I now have 100mbps internet. Now I'm totally hooked. Can't play offline any more. Yes, online is a stripped down version, hit variety being one of the big ones. But the cpu hitting just blows my mind. Pitchers swinging too early on 95 mph chin music, bad hitters laying off 2 strike pitches on the paint consistently, etc. Then the way they pitch is just so random. There's only 1 reason to play online and it's to play versus a human. To be able to pick up on human tendencies while batting and while pitching is worth all the downsides.

I enjoy playing offline Diamond Dynasty and Conquest immensely.

I wouldn't play online if they paid me to.

After full 2 months dedicated solely to playing this game, I am starting to wind down a bit and giva a chance to other games, but I know I will be playing at least one match daily for the entire summer.

Zero desire to touch this game online against randoms. I love playing the CPU in this game.

When I want some competition vs another person I get my fix by playing in an adult baseball league. There I get to show off my "user skillz" lol

I am also a Season mode offline player, but I have never been able to play all 162. The most I have ever played was about 120 or so games and that was last year. Plus it won't happen this year as well. The best I can hope for this year is to play 161. You see due to uncontrollable circumstances I was unable to play my game this last Saturday. But unlike past years when I just simmed the game win or lose and moved on in the season schedule. This year I made a pact that if I could not or would not play a game, I would have to sim a loss. So there is an incentive this year for me to play the games. Will it work? Only time will tell. But playing all 162 games is a mammoth task.

PS: I did play 34 spring training games this year. 29 with MLB 16 and another 5 with MLB 17. So there is the potential to play more than 162 games.
