Starting pitchers rarely get a decision.

I was just wondering if anyone else noticed this or it’s just something happening to me in my franchise. As the Indians, Playing Offline franchise, QC and varying between All Star and Vet. Many of my games are close going into the 5th, 6th or 7th inning. Many are tied or within a run. I try to get 7 inn out of my starter if possible. For example, Most of my starters have 10 to 12 starts. My best starter is Carrasco 4 and 1 and Kluber is 3 and 3. Nearly all my games are decided in the 7th 8th or 9th inn, quite a few in extra innings and the relievers are credited with the wins or loss. Same for the CPU teams. Their starters pitch a great game, The CPU pulls them in a close game and then as soon as the reliever comes in, I rock him. My relievers have more win and losses than the starters. Many CPU teams have the same results. My starters have a little less than 50 % of all the Wins and losses combined and checking many of the CPU teams, has pretty much the same result. Does this seem normal. ? I don’t think so. Whats your opinion ?

Seeing as he didn't ask how they get wins, this was an poor response.

It might seem weird that you are seeing so many decisions going to the relief pitchers but if you are playing a lot of 1 run and tied games late, that will happen. Not sure why it would be all around the league though. Maybe playing a bit with sliders might help. Maybe if you had more offense, you might see some starters knocked around a bit. Not really sure why you are having that problem but with lots of close games, starters might not get that many decisions

Tks Oilersfan99. Glad you understood the question and tks for your response. I am very aware of how pitchers get wins, losses and saves. Most likely it is my own fault. Sometimes I take a pitcher to far and with the issues with my hands, I am not a very good hitter. After a few games when my hands and thumbs lock up, I play the first inning and the sim till the 5th or 6th and jump back in. I do have my sliders settings pretty tuned up and it causes a lot of close games. Or at least in my franchise. I was just wondering if anyone else noticed this or if it might be of my own doing. Since I didn't get many responses, it must be just me and my settings. Think I'll try and loosen things up a little and get off of Allstar hitting and go to vet. Anyway, Tks again. Appreciate the advice

CC: I am playing QM with every game and jumping-in as needed. The seasons are: 1994, 2007, and current. I see much variety and it seems the W-L decision in the video game replicates the real world W-L parameter's we see. Can you find a web-site that shows the % of W-L for SP vs RP ? I will check my results of a good amount of games and let you know how it looks. I also QM with starter stamina at 4 or 5 to get the SP an additional IP to get the W.
